And he’s 100% correct. The amount of antibacterial sprays we use in the kitchen are causing sterile environments and this weakening our immune systems.

Yep.
And I’m all for his views on gun control, Christian conservatives, rasicm, and homophobia.
Good to see a Texan promoting these views 😉

We don’t live in cleaner houses though. It is just quicker to clean. Our grandmothers used to scrub with boiling water and wash clothes on a boil. We shortcut by using anti bac stuff.
The wider world is probably marginally more sterile as kids don’t eat dirt any more…

You're not obliged to read it , just saying
That’s not relevant.
My question is why it’s a sticky. Why this video, which is being shared over social media by right wing anti vaxxer, ‘Covid is all a hoax’ Americans, has been made a sticky.

They don't.
The only vague 'truth' is the lack of worm burden in developed countries possibly being associated with increased allergy and asthma-it's the same immunological pathway-the so-called hygiene hypothesis. We have at least 4 times the number of bacteria in and on our bodies forming the microbiome. Whilst there is some some evidence that western lifestyles do lead to some issues with the composition of the microbiome and health, there is not really much evidence that it weakens immunity. A good microbiome may help develop immunity (and not from a yoghurt) and its regulation, but the idea the immune system does not have enough challenge and stimulation in a clean environment is hokum. We carry more than enough bugs to do that-but finding the right ones would help.

The information is out there , imo to censor it is dangerous , I haven't watched it because I have my opinion and intellect which is strong enough not to be swayed by a you tube clip

I didn’t say it should be censored?
My question is not why it is on the site, amongst many other threads of all sorts, but why, uniquely for a thread of its type (i.e, not involving some sort of participation whether poll or gathering or similar) it’s been stuck to the top of the board.
Because doing that is, whether intentional or not, condoning the sentiment of the OP. Which is the type of editorial decision that turns this site from a message board into a publishing house.
Dangerous ground.
Edited to add - and as if by magic it no longer is…
