And we are talking the biggest salary ever for a Rangers manager. And the key factor is this. His Mrs wants to stay in Swansea. She knows they could be on the move in a very short time if it went wrong up there.

Great coach, superb developmental ways of educating young players using emotional learning, young and willing to learn from mistakes, always plays a brand of football to win matches, albeit on a steep learning curve which means he won’t go anywhere. Glad to help mate 😉

| Martin/Rangers?? on 10:02 - Nov 11 with 1899 views | KeithHaynes | This guy is the most informed rangers writer I know. He blows John Cross from the Mirror out of the water. Believe him. Rangers will not make a move to appoint former Ibrox defender Russell Martin as Steven Gerrard's successor as manager. Martin has been linked with a potential return to Glasgow as the champions step up their hunt for the next Light Blues boss. Gerrard is poised to complete his switch to Aston Villa within the next 48 hours as assistant Gary McAllister and staff Michael Beale, Tom Culshaw and Jordan Milsom also get set to head to the Midlands. Rangers were credited with an interest in Martin on Wednesday evening but the former Scotland stopper is not on the list of targets drawn up by Ross Wilson. Martin moved to Swansea in the summer after starting his managerial career at MK Dons. And he will not be making the move to Ibrox and rejoining the club where he spent time on loan in 2018. | |

I think you will find the majority of Rangers fans far more understanding of a manager wanting to move to the PL. The unwashed on the other side of Glasgow are still crying about Brendan leaving for Leicester

the fawning over Martin is beyond belief...Risca posts Nartins words stating he will stay yet he said the same things not 2 days before being revealed as our manager. Personally I believe it's too early to talk of Martin leaving he has yet to prove himself with any real success hopefully this season will be a success for him and us...lots if positive signs ...but as may negative too
