Over 20 yrs ago I was in the process of slowly breaking up with an ex of mine and in that early stage of on / off. This is more of a dodged bullet than an actual story.
Many, many years ago when I was a child in primary school I was chosen to play a role in a school play called The Lost Toys. I was never all that interested in it so refused to learn my lines and the whole thing ended up getting cancelled.
Which worked out well for me in the long run because I was supposed to be playing a Golliwog, which would have entailed total blacking up and everything.
