The WHO's best practice for naming diseases suggest avoiding “causing offence to any cultural, social, national, regional, professional or ethnic groups.”

Isn’t using the Greek alphabet offensive to Greeks? Or is it discriminating against every other type of alphabet? We could use the Welsh alphabet and have a Ll variant but everybody saying it would probably spread the virus more as there’d be more airborne particles of spit and mucus everywhere. | | | |
