Luton game off 17:09 - Dec 24 with 1140 viewsSirjohnalot

Game has gone, due to covid. I assume the season will be extended. Could these postponements help us as they’ll be rearranged when we’ve hopefully got a some new players.

Happy Christmas everyone

Getting comical now but not surprised. With 18 positives in the Ospreys squad (incl. Omicron) you always felt when they found 2 in ours they were going to find more.

How evenly is this affecting clubs? Will there be any clubs that have played 3 games more than us by the time we next kick a ball?

I was quite glad of a break with the QPR game called off but the longer it goes on you just want to have points on the board, not games in hand.

Should we have shut up shop entirely after the round of fixtures on the 11-12th with a view to coming back after Xmas? When you have so many people out there in society at large with Covid I'm not sure how you could reasonably insulate football from it.

Our players being vaccinated will help.

Too late for that in the context of Omicron though isn't it? Only being boosted really offers significant protection against infection, and you can't boost someone who hasn't had any jabs at all.

At least at the rate we're going the disruption won't last long, as most players from most teams will have caught Omicron (and therefore gained immunity) before long.

I do wish all our players would get vaccinated though.

Players complaining the PL is not looking after them.
How does that work out when they wont even have a jab and then insist of crawling all over each other.
We need a lock down in football right now.It is farcical now .

The next winge will be fixture pile ups.

Very strange today with no game, and after Luton we will be three games behind some teams.

Fingers crossed for next weekend.

There will be more Tenby.
This will be because of close contact and not jabbing and basically being dumb.

The season could be shambolic.

Watching PL yesterday players still right up close hugging chums from the OTHER team prior to the game not knowing or caring if they might have symptoms

Yes, that is the problem with all those over confident Vaccinated players who think they are protected from catching COVID.
I can't think where they got impression from.

Our manager saying getting a jab is a matter of freedom of choice for the players doesn't help . In many other jobs vaccination (even if for different illness) is compulsory.

I wonder if he'd say the same if the team decided to go on a freestyle skiing holiday and broke a few bones.

I'm also wondering if we may be trying to push a few games back to when crowds are allowed?
