Makes a lot of things less important eh ?

From WOL.

He said: “I love the place. I’d never been to Swansea until I played there. I knew Brian Flynn (then manager) at the time so I came to the club from there.

“The atmosphere was amazing. We may have been bottom of the league but you would not have thought it."

Discussing his vital role in the game against Hull City, he added: “I didn’t really celebrate, I didn’t think it was a sense of achievement, but people still talk about it.

“I’m not ignorant to what might of happened and I’m more than aware it was a very important day but as a player you didn’t see it as a sense of achievement.

“ I just felt I didn’t want to celebrate managing to stay up, I got straight in the car, went home and that was that.

“The fan support was absolutely brilliant, I have been lucky, I’ve always build up some sort of relationship with the fans.

“I still keep an eye on how they do. I was deeply disappointed when they were relegated.

“My only regret was I left on a bit of a sour note with the chairman. I would have loved to play at the Liberty Stadium. I’ve got nothing but fond memories of my time there.”

Very sadly, the former footballer was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in March, 2017, defined by the NHS as an uncommon condition that affects the brain and nerves. It causes weakness and gradually worsens over time. There’s no cure, but there are treatments to help reduce the impact it has on your daily life.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Indeed.
At a higher profile ,if that s the right word,Rob Burrow and Doddie Weir evidence just how evil this disease is .
Next time Sinfield takes on a challenge ,let’s all support him..

Let his work also be recognised by a knighthood

It's difficult to think of a worse disease. I hope one day a cure can be found.

Two friends have lost Fathers to this disease and to see their decline was awful. Another family friend took a trip to Dignitas in Switzerland to handle the outcome on her own terms.

The MNDA is always towards the top of my charity list.
