Who cannot be named for legal reasons, has had his bail extended until July, making it 12 months since he was first arrested.

A long time to be under suspicion.

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

These things do take a long time, I guess they have to get the fine details spot on.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

‘Whoever it is’ has been bailed three times over eight months, looks like a thorough job being done.

A long time to be under suspicion.

Particularly if you are innocent. I'm not saying that is the case though.

Unfortunately not in anyway unusual. Happens virtually everytime. The backlog for searching computers etc is very long and of it is ‘just’ images. (As opposed to distributing them or as part of an abduction eg) they’ll be way down the list. Most of the cases I’m prosecuting at the moment go back at least 3-4 years

Thinking of the victims as well John, there could well be others uncovered as a part of any inquiry which will in itself requires further arrest of the person or others. Minefield as you know. Interrogation of all manner of technical kit. Not for me anymore. I could go on.

What you’re describing is a damming indictment of the state of our criminal justice system, absolutely appalling.
This guy is under investigation for what are likely to be some pretty serious offences, there is potentially a victim, possibly multiple victims, families etc and it’s taking a year to get sorted. In terms of your case load, I’d imagine some of the people you’ll be prosecuting will be guilty and others innocent, being under suspicion for 3 to 4 years, the strain, financial costs etc are a huge burden to carry and it has a massive impact on people. The CPS and police have been “hammered” over the last 12 years and we’re seeing the result now.

Was at the other end of it as a foster carer.
Often heard directly of or was informed of some very unsavoury things that took place.
Not saying same as in this case, hopefully.
Until you are involved in some way, it is hard to envisage what goes on in our society.

I was just about to post something similar. This footballer, his career is in ruins now which is fine if he's guilty, if he's innocent though?

It is awful if he is innocent.
However many children suffer for years, many never get justice.
So hard on both sides of the situation.

Firstly thank you for the incredible work you do. I’ve defended so many kids over the years who have gone through the care system who have been so damaged by their experiences. People like you are so important to these kids, they offer love support, and a stable life they’ve never had. You are incredible.

When I read pre sentence reports of some of these kids, it’s heartbreaking and it little wonder they end up in crime.

Hope you realise the lives you’ve touched and probably saved over the years.
Thank you

This is exactly the problem and why we’re taking action. It’s not a strike, it’s a ‘no returns’ just that we won’t take on each other’s work when a court sticks it someone else at the last moment without asking us and that person cannot cover it.

Government says we’re lying when it comes to this. The Giggs case eg, was supposed to be heard in January, now gone to August, and will most probably go off again to next year. Whatever you think of Giggs, this is a guy who has been accused of something he may not have done and is still suspended from his job, will probably lose it.

It’s getting worse

I wonder who this mysterious person is? They’ve kept it under wraps really well. For it to go on this long and nobody still has any sort of idea who this individual is is remarkable.

Thank you.
No longer do it sadly, due to a change in personal circumstances but always remember each child we helped and their harrowing stories..
Some have gone on to better things, sadly others not so much.
