| Boro boss : The way Swansea play they always give you an opportunity on 13:29 - Apr 24 with 1047 views | onehunglow | We have proven we can attack and finish so why compromise this with putrid passing at the back.It is indefensible the way we have shipped goals this season.Look at our GD. Players are clearly instructed to play a they do. We have the players to have had a successful season;thi is not one.It is a meaningless, empty one. We hope next season we will develop. Next season should see us quit the endless defensive dumbass errors and concentrate and hurting the opponent where it matters ;in THEIR box. | |

Sit back and pack your penalty area and hit on the break with pace which our defence cannot handle. Or use the high press to force the errors in our defence. Or just outplay us all over the field, which very few clubs can do. If Man City & Liverpool can't cut out all the errors and have goals scored against them with the players they have, we have no chance of doing so with ours.

Most fundamental aspect of any sport is not to give your opponent a chance ,if possible.

It definitely needs tweeking next season. 1st base is to be solid at the back, you can't gift teams at this level. You have to make opponents work hard for their goals. So less risk, increase the tempo, firmer passing(so our wingbacks are not receiving the ball with their backs to opponents goal and simple passing back), mixing up play more, change formations and tactics on certain occasions, set piece specialist, cut out predictable goal kicks, be less predictable in general, all round injection of pace needed around the squad, new captain and can please someone buy Matt Grimes, Jamie Paterson, Joel Laud off us.

The first two points agreed, that needs a lot of work.

It's what has got to me this season, frankly. We have a deadly striker and some who can pass well. We have in Cabango a young ,keen, brave warrior who is clearly terrified of Fisher. We have shown patches of real substance then either chucked it away or left it too late. We snotted Huddersfield for 45 mins after not really threatening them at all. Then we turn on . It happened yesterday. An unforgivable give away goal then we wake up go down field and score a terrific goal. How people can say it's been a good season staggers me.Hudds will go up and they are nothing but ordinary but exceptionally well trained and drilled.

A bad season wouldn’t have seen the response we saw yesterday.

If we had started both strikers from the start of the season , we would have had two 20+ goals strikers and possibly better league position. I would like somebody to check how many of our goals conceded have come from similar mistakes to yesterday, if I were to guess it would be over 10. Its been a yo-yo type season, battered by the only two good teams in division and that is the barometer I am going by.

I’ll leave the late great Brian Clough sum it up nicely - “if God had wanted us to play football in the clouds, he’d have put grass up there.”

jo I 'll be frank. I went to the Preston game and when the team was announced with Cullen taking the place of an absent in disgrace Piroe I thought something was awry.Early, maybe premature but I am comfortable in my own mind as to what I see which is the most pallid seaon I can remember since PL relegation.Frankly,I weep at what I see;Im asuming many posters are not taking the pyss as what I read is not reality. We do our best to lose games it seems. We make mistakes and then repeat them over and over again.Nobody can dispute that. It is not transition;well,it's regression. I remain very worried
