Cyrus Christie makes his position clear and so do we 1st Jun 2022 12:07
Cyrus Christie is chasing that last elusive contract and it seems regardless of where that may be he has dismissed a Swansea City return next season. And who can blame him ? This is possibly the most crucial and more importantly financial move for him in his career. 0

The Turks and Greeks can pay big wages but do not like transfer fees and do not expect any sell on value. Ideal for players like Cyrus. Te younger players they could sign often get home sick and cannot adjust to life in a strange foreign land. Osayi Samuel is at Fenerbahce was unsettled but seems to be staying. Many return after 6m months. 30 year old are on a mission to fill pension pots and there to do a job.

Cameron Jerome went to Izmir for a while at 33 or so and did OK. Britt Assomabalonga is in Antalya I think and Diedhiou at Alanya both over 30.

Wise sage since Toshack era

This news isn’t the end of the world, there are younger players out there that are just as good if not better who need game-time to progress their careers

Yep.

Easy for people to get snooty about it but this is basically his last chance to get a lucrative contract and he's well within his rights to do so.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
