Swansea City working within their means to sign Marcus Harness 21st Jun 2022 09:00
Twenty six year old Marcus Myers-Harness has again been linked to Swansea City after interest cooled off two weeks ago.The main stumbling block then was that his club Portsmouth wanted to recoup the six hundred thousand pounds plus fee they paid for him in 2019. His previous club Burton Albion also have a sell on clause it is believed. Although the full details of the sale in 2019 have never been disclosed. 0

Portsmouth may well go for the straight swap for one of our forwards, equal value and no sell on payment to Burton, tough on Burton but it could work well for us.

Be nice if they took 2 of them get them off the wage bill to many players who don't feature in Martins plans.

I quite liked the look of Joseph though, I think he could do well in the right team.

Personally I think him and Whittaker are worth retaining.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Garrick stats are comparable to Harkness and better than Whittaker and Joseph who are two years younger. Martin needs to have a good look at him in pre season. 50 games last season proves his durability which was an issue previously. He played in a number of positions and has real gas. 7 goals and 8 assists.

Garrick aged 24. 15 goal contributions 7 goals 8 assists. League 1
Harness aged 26 17 goal contribution 11 goals 6 assists. League 1.

Swap with cash adjustment would be good business for Portsmouth. Garrick is faster and younger.
