Wales was the better team for the first 40 mins then perhaps playing extra time against Bosnia in a highly charged game a few days previously caught up with them.
Wales undone by two excellent Swiss goals in the end, Bachmann excellent player for them, ref was top notch but having awarded the free kick for Wales at the end it was unusual to not allow it to be taken.
Commentators were poor, I instantly knew the that the penalty rebound goal was not a goal yet they had no idea of the rules,
Good effort by Wales, if it had gone to pens I would have faced our chances what with our goalie known to save a penalty, our record scorer brought on to take a pen and Switzerland best player off the park we might have been seconds away from getting through. |  |
