| Are you bowled over with the Swans Trust 11:29 - Nov 16 with 983 views | KeithHaynes | The Swansea City Supporters’ Trust and Swansea City FC are delighted to announce that our popular ‘Bowling Night’ is back. Russell Martin and his squad will be joining us on Tuesday, 22nd November (from 6pm), for a special night of bowling with our members and fans. Superbowl UK Swansea, in York Street, are kindly making all 14 lanes available for players and fans to join together for a fundraising night split equally in aid of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital and the Swans Foundation. Our bowling night is back for the first time since before the Covid-19 pandemic and the Trust and club are delighted to arrange it’s return. We are grateful to Russell and the players for taking the time to join us on what is sure to be a fun evening and are also delighted that Kev Johns has agreed to be our MC for the night. Teams of five will be allocated a lane each for two bowling games with a Swans player or senior club representative added to make a team of six. Entries cost just £12 per person (with a small booking fee in addition) which will cover two games and there will be an opportunity to have photos taken with Russell and the players throughout the evening. There will be prizes awarded during the evening as well as a raffle with some unique club merchandise. All proceeds will go towards our chosen charities. We will also have collection points available should anyone wish to make any further donations during the evening. How to book Tickets can be booked here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/swans-trust-and-swansea-city-afc-bowling-night-ti and there is also the opportunity to make a further donation by purchasing a ‘donation ticket’. We will split all donations between our two charities once the event is over. The best way to book a lane, which is for a team of five (£60 + £5 booking fee). A player or senior club representative will then be added to make up a team of six. There is no need to include other names at this point. If you are unable to make up a team of five, you can book and pay for yourself or a smaller group by purchasing individual tickets, and we will do our utmost to combine numbers into a full team. However, this cannot be guaranteed and you are encouraged to make up a team of five where possible. If smaller numbers who book cannot be allocated a lane, money will be refunded. More details will be sent to the lead name nearer the event so please ensure you provide the correct email address. We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone at Superbowl UK Swansea for their hospitality and allowing us to hold this event. I admire any person who puts their head above the parapet and takes on a duty or commitment in good faith. I don’t believe I’m qualified enough to comment on their actual being, but I am qualified enough to say to people who abuse them, their families forcing them to withdraw from social media are cowards. The level of cowardice and lack of intelligence is most certainly additional information for what we have currently ongoing with South Wales police regards harassment from earlier on this year. That’s how thick internet warriors are. And of course they are known. And they know we know. So, to answer your question sometimes even if you don’t support an initiative or the people involved you have to support the people themselves. Because at times there needs to be justice, no matter which side you are on. There you go, angry missive of the day completed. | |

| Are you bowled over with the Swans Trust on 14:53 - Nov 16 with 839 views | ReslovenSwan1 | I am not impressed with the Trust's behaviour over the last 7 years or so, but the new people appear to getting things done and now have a long overdue good relationship with the other club owners. Well done to them. This event is for charity and gives fans a chance to contribute charity while meeting up with players who are also giving up their free time for a good cause. The players do not have a competitive game for a few weeks. I would like he Trust to hold a review of its objectives. The Wrexham Trust ran Wrexham into the ground either through ineptitude or because it was toothless because of its own limitation set by their Model Rules. I would like to see a review by a consultant followed by a conversion to a more flexible body with paid staff. They were due to be paid £500k after they negotiated this deal. What plans do they have for this money? With inflation at 12% "do nothing" is not a good plan. If the Trust is not able to do anything with it then they should be looking to ditch the "Trust Model Rules" exoskeleton and actually grow. Conversion is allowed. | |

Not impressed with your anti Swansea Post for the past 7 years or so either. I would rather supporters support the team, the manager, the players and the trust who are all volunteers who helped to save the club. But you are entitled to Post your views in a democracy .

When we went tits up ,these people dis something at least not sat on their arsed moaning like the rest of us. Sadly, such is the nature of people ,it was felt necessary to have a Trust to protect the club, which we all supported . The sale was poisoned and it’s effects are still resonant

Sorry for being correct. The volunteers gave away £400,000 of the members money to London lawyers. Silverstein come over and showed mercy to the most recent volunteers to clear up the mess of their predecessors. I continue to give them good advice.

Correct Swansea City FC also waisted thousands on lawyers fees. That is what happens in a legal dispute both parties waste huge sums and the Lawyers get rich. Armchair lawyers are even worse they are convinced their side will win any legal action. Fortunately both the Trust and Swansea City FC came to an out of court settlement rather then waste even more money. They are now United in doing what is best for the Club.

Tbf the question was a leader based on a pun to get to the advert for the charity event. Otherwise, no the trust is a waste of space and had held us back.
