Be careful not to be too critical whilst in Qatar.
They have sponsored spies who walk amongst you

Save journey, Roaming Morgan will be there. You can’t miss him, and as our official photographer 😂 in a group of nine I’m sure we will get a real Welsh flavour from you all.

I’ve been a long suffering Wales supporter, I’ve always said I’d go if Wales made it to the WC and here I am. Came out last weekend and based myself in Dubai as it was a lot cheaper than some staying in Qatar even after factoring in the cost of the shuttle flights. We got to the airport this morning for our shuttle flight and the place was just a sea of red, hundreds of Wales fans - possibly a thousand there.
There are loads of Welsh fans out here as could be seen at the ground tonight. In addition to the fans behind the goal, there were large pockets scattered around the ground - a very impressive turnout. The stadium is top drawer and even though we were up high, the view was excellent. From what I can see the organisation is excellent, there are large numbers of helpful stewards in the ground, at the Metro stations, shopping Malls etc and they are all very friendly and keen to show their country in a positive light.

It’s not cheap in Qatar and neither is it cheap in Dubai, beer is between £13/£15 a pint, but you can get it cheaper at happy hours etc. Food is probably a bit more expensive than back home, but if you eat where the locals eat it’s a cheaper. You can get an app called The Entertainer which gets you access to 2 for 1 discounts at lots of places, the Tourist version will set you back £50 quid for 30 days access, but you can soon make your money back if you use it properly. Weather is a nice. Quite a few Swans fans here, spoke to some tonight.

So far so good - apart from aspects of last nights performance.

Glad you are enjoying it, surely eating with the locals is all part of a trip to somewhere like Doha?

Good news Keith, BBC are reporting 78 have been turned away.

A lot are now worried about the England game, it seems its a problem with the app

Disgusting after they all spent so much time and money to be there.
These apps shouldn't be the be all and end all

Absolutely, we’ve been mixing and matching but if you want a beer or wine with your meal you can’t go “local.”

Our trip is drawing to an end and we fly back tonight. Been a great trip with my son, but we’ve been disappointed with the Wales performances and results. We’ve stayed in Dubai Marina which is very cosmopolitan and relaxed.
