Didn't we have something similar when we were relegated.

Of course don’t disagree, it has been a slow decline since relegation for sure.

The club employed an average of 510 members of staff, including playing staff, backroom staff and part-time matchday staff, during the year at a cost of £26m.

This compared to 244 staff members at a cost of £27.7m the previous year — a reduction in staff costs of £1.7m.

It’s odd, very much a supporter of common sense decisions when they are made regardless of who they are, and sustainability is key for our club. But, sometimes we all need some areas for thought so we can get better. Even the majority owners.

Sadly this is the true reality of relegation from the Premier League.
We suffered similar redundancies.

Many of these people being made redundant will be low earners on close to minimum wage whilst many of the players will be on £40,000 a week plus it’s a bit morally repugnant to be honest.

Thing is these guys who run football clubs didn’t get billions without earning millions.

Redundancies are a good thing not a bad thing. I have been given my cards twice and both did me a favour. If people cannot find another job why were they working at our beloved Swansea city FC.? It is not pleasant of course. Renato Sanches did not give a fig.

A job for life belongs in a different era. My dad's era. he joined the forestry in Resolven at 20 and left at 60 in Resolven via a couple of other Welsh locations.

It suits some people yeah a nice lump sum and move on to the next place that’s a positive definitely but for others it can be a real worry.

There wouldn't have been no nice lump sums for most of those laid off at the Liberty a few years back.

Very true, redundancies then no work because of covid, a very worrying time for many. Factor in taking a mortgage holiday through covid and some still haven't recovered.
