They’re done at the next GE (the upcoming by-elections will be a decent indicator of what to expect) and this type of behaviour is what we’ll see from top level Conservatives in the future with Bravemann et al in pole position to set future direction of travel. Post Corbyn (thank goodness) Labour have moved to the centre. The Tory party have swallowed up UKIP so there’s now no room to the right, yet they can’t afford to lose votes from there. All they can do is keep blaming those less fortunate for everything. This won’t work long term as voters are for the first time not necessarily getting more conservative as they get older. I genuinely think the Tory party are done for a generation. Let’s hope Labour can step up. As someone commented on another thread, surely they can’t do any worse?

I've got no faith in any party, they all talk a good game much like some football managers, but the proof is in the pudding.

I think people will still move towards the right as they age but what's killing the tories is that they have simply moved too far to the right themselves and become very unpalatable. That and the small fact that they have been publicly exposed as lying, cheating, self serving greedy gits and for the first time in ages a lot of people seem to be paying attention. Quite simply, what Bojo has done is to take away any conception of the tories as being a decent, safe pair of hands to run our country. Apart from all the above they have also been shown to be utterly useless, negligent bordering on criminal and the shameless nature of what they have been doing is just too much for anybody with an ounce of decency. Jenrick behaving like some evil step parent out to ruin kids lives is just more icing on the nasty piece of cake.

It is left that is the true nasty party calling anyone who has different options to them "scum". Led of course by Angela Rayner who now complains people are calling her and her family unpleasant names.

Nope, does he ever, And for clarity, I'm neither left or right, but my opinion on his beloved present Tory party is correct, they're a bunch of corrupt lairs, full of their own greed and self importance. He'll never except that, he's has bad as the voters here who keep Dreadfull in power, what's that about the wood and the trees.

Hmmm, nasty....I'd say a chancellor saying he was prepared to let a recession happen to help bring down inflatiion is quite nasty, specially when the government has other options like reducing fuel duty to bring prices at the pump down. I'd say the party that wilfully redistributes wealth from the poor to the rich is quite nasty. A serving Prime Minister who wilfully and knowingly broke the laws he imposed and then lied about it along with several colleagues (who lied to protect each other and stay on the gravy train...nasty or not? Labour definitely has a few gobshites in their ranks but there is a big difference between nasty words and nasty deeds.

I wouldn't bother he's either a WUM or thick as mince, the latter is probably the answer.

Yes and one if the nasties deeds was Gordon Brown tax raids on the pension funds which left everyone relying on a company pension thousands of pounds worse of every year.

It was. In addition, that government selling off gold, PFI, war in Iraq, cosying up to the Murdochs; all huge mistakes. However, how can you highlight the impact of that pension raid while refusing to even acknowledge the damage of the Truss omnishambles?

Just playing devils advocate here, but aren’t drawings/cartoons of animals forbidden in a lot of sects of Islam? Perhaps a lot of these migrants wouldn’t want to see a mouse in a polka dot mini skirt smiling down on them?

Look now, Brown and Blair bankrupted the Royal mail pension fund and it was cameron's governemt who had to rescue it but I'm a lot less concerned with the nasties who are not in government (or even in politics anymore) but very concerned about the people who are damaging our country today. I stopped voting Labour because of Blair and brown, I became politically homeless (to quote Gwyn) and I have remained a floating voter ever since, one who looks for a decent indy candidate becuas BOTH Labour and Tory have done their bit in destroying this country. However t's hard for Labour to be a nasty government when they are not in power. Would you blame Bob Bradley for what's happened at the Swans today? Would you blame Robert Maxwell if the Mirror puts up a disgusting headline? When we are talking about current affairs we could try stating current and not dredging up things from 20 years ago.
