How about those Swansea players stop the apologising and start putting the effort in ? 17th Sep 2023 12:50
Swansea City fans have heard apology after apology this season already and the latest one comes from Captain Matt Grimes for the embarrassing defeat at Cardiff City. 2

I agree about players apologising, pure virtue signalling whilst picking up large wages after recent performances. But I cant help feel sorry for some of them, they're professionals who want to win, they don't seem to be enjoying the football, they must know things aren't right!

For me it’s about looking in the mirror after a game and knowing you have done your best and played to the best of your ability. Yesterday they didn’t.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

The problem is, and I’m not blindly defending them here, that to perform to your best you heed to know exactly what is expected of you. For that to happen there needs to be a structure to play within and I don’t see that this season. Is this a transition? If so, it’s very slow, even non-existent. Is it ineptitude from a manager / coaching? Only one way to solve that as we all know,
I said in an earlier thread that in the past our identity, style if play whether you loved it or hated it p, defined us. We had something to take onto the pitch. We have absolutely nothing niw except a whole load if prayers. They unfortunately have not been answered!

We’ve both been around in the ups and downs, and that is what we ask for at whatever standard of football. Sadly we’re seeing less and less of it

These so called 'professionals' earn vastly more in a single week or two than many of their 'supporters' do in an entire year.

And the very fact that they fail to recognise/respect the privilege/insane rewards afforded to them, just to partake in what is considered to be a pastime has always bugged me and I guess many others also.

Argus!

After watching it last night there was nothing positive I could take away from the match. It was a derby ffs not just another league match. If the new players don’t understand that…if the manager doesn’t understand that…if anyone involved with the club doesn’t understand that then theyre in the wrong profession.
Perhaps they want to get their cosseted backsides out on the streets…sweep the roads…sell a newspaper or two to get through their thick skulls what that game meant to us. Don’t hide behind the usual internet keyboard apologies written by some kid employed by the club or the odd photo shoot. Sick of hearing platitudes about new project…rebuilding. Every year we hear the same. Last night was an utter disgrace. Everything was left on the field…everything.

Must be in the minority here but I don’t feel at all it was a lack of effort. That’s one of the first things ppl say when we lose a game. But I felt the players tried and battled best they could, but the shape of the team and the way we set up and complete lack of understanding by anyone swans related of an actual game plan made it an impossible task

We need to rebuild immediately
To do that,we need a captain. We have a current one in name only.
We need leadership.
We have none from the top to the bottom.

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not
