Far from it, an incredible 70 clubs in the PL, EFL and National leagues have gone into admin with many being dissolved and resurrected and some gone for good.. Derby and Palace have gone into it twice... Despite the poor financial mismanagement of both Swansea & Cardiff down the years neither club have gone into admin alongside such names like Chelsea, Leeds, Portsmouth, Leicester, Ipswich and Middlesbrough [Post edited 24 Oct 13:21]

In 85 we were issued with a winding up order straight away but Sharpe & Co came in to take over, and in 2001 it was a straight sale to Mel Nurse from Petty. I get what you are saying, and I’ve no idea why the club wasn’t put in administration, so it’s a technicality but we’ve never been in admin. I’m sure there are clever folk on here that can explain the difference and I’d be interested to know, or the fine details from 1985 - I just remember the sponsored walks , the game v Man U etc…but not the details as I can with all the sh/t that went on 1998-2001 with 9th floor, SS, Hamer, McClure, Lewis & Petty etc

What a group that lot were, jeez. People forget the four years of fighting them to get them out of the club 97 to 2001. Everyone was singing Johnny Hollins Barmy Army with their pants round their ankles. Some saw through it. The local council wouldn’t go near then with a new stadium, once they were got rid of the white rock plans started.

Steve Hamer, Neil McClure, Peter Day, Mike Lewis. Interesting characters.
