Unless he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, it is difficult to understand the motivation behind his actions. As a former Marine with a young family, the consequences are particularly stark, as he will now be absent from his children’s lives as they grow up.

Not sure how many he injured but considering that it would have been a few then a fair sentence imo.Considering some of the sentences that have been handed down for online comments again imo I'm not sure even judges know what to do .

Thanks for the comments
I think it’s a considerable term? Comparitively
I only question it as many full on murderers have had less
I’m
Not excusing this chap in any way but it does show how lenient many murder sentences are
He faces a very tough time inside and he will not live out his sentence

I expected him to get between 12 and 15 years. The guys is an ex marine who served a couple of years before leaving, he has previous convictions albeit they are quite old. One news paper reporting he was known for having a short fuse.

I think he’ll be a marked man inside, depending on the rules at the time he’s likely to serve between 8.5 and 14 years before being able to be considered for probation, I reckon it’ll be nearer the 14 figure.

Several sources carrying the story, apparently he bit a guys ear off in a pub brawl over 30 years ago.
Not been on bother since the early 90s.

Would like to see a full sentence of 21 years behind bars carried out to the end , but the sensitive Judges lean to the side of caution , lets give this hothead another chance to mow down innocent people whilst in an alleged temper driving .

Details and dashcam footage released after the hearing are appalling viewing .
