Having dominated a game they could have won by three or four goals at least - chance after chance was spurned. 1

| Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion : FA Cup match day thread on 05:06 - Jan 6 with 5906 views | Swans9 | A cup run would be nice I think alot of fringe players will start. We just need to keep it solid at the back and compete. I think home advantage could be the difference I just hope they don't change managers by Sunday after 10 losses on the road on the bounce. | | | |

It hapoens a lot before Swans games. But then a lot of fans of other clubs think that.

I'd let Ward start and Key can watch a master at work and hopefully learn from him

One of the better atmosphere's at the vetch, think there was about 10k there. Looking good with 10 minutes to go and Dudley lewis scored that own goal to make it 2-2 with around 9 minutes to go. Talk on the NB immediately went to going up for the replay the following week (as was the case back then) until Mc Carthy came to the rescue in the final minute of the game sending the vetch into raptures!! very eventful after the game too on the Kingsway outside mothercare !!

I remember listening to this on the radio (was only a kid then). One thing I remember about this game is reading in the evening post the day after, that a fan (can’t remember if it was a home or away fan) was arrested after the game because after the ball was kicked into the stands, this supporter took the ball, stuck it up his jumper & nicked it 😂. Pretty sure we were knocked out by Hull in the next round if memory serves.

Yes exactly right, we battered Hull for 90 minutes, they had one attack and scored the winning goal

I was there, and if memory serves, didn't Terry Phelan hit a 35yd piledriver that came back off the post in the second half? It felt like our luck was out with the own goal to make it 2-2, but the winner was my first taste of "limbs"!!! [Post edited 11 Jan 11:42]

| Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion : FA Cup match day thread on 11:39 - Jan 11 with 4122 views | KeithHaynes | Another game Ray where an absolute stunning shot resulted in nothing was the Exeter v Swans FA Cup tie in 1992. I had to look that up. The game was called off due to floodlight failure. Steve Jenkins had scored an worldy. And then it was replayed. Odd thing is the away fans were also in the stand and you could clearly hear Alan Ball shouting certain things about the lights. John Hodge played for Exeter City then. First game and Replay details. Exeter :Miller. Hiley. Cook.Redwood.Bond Whiston. Collins. Tonge. Jepson. Kelly. Hodge Subs: Moran (for Tonge, 57 min), Dolan (for Collins, 65 min). Swansea: Freestone; Little, Jenkins, Agboola, Harris, Coughlin, Cullen, Wimbleton, West, Cornforth, Legg; subs., Ford, McFarlane. Strong side, WBA will be pretty much full strength following the sacking of Mason. | |

Just seen the side. Must admit my heart sinks slightly, when I see both Ronald and Eom start, seemingly as our go to starting wingers. It’s about time they both put in at least, an 8 out of ten performance. Flattering to deceive doesn’t even describe it most of the time.

About time too from Eom 👍 Same for Ronald, at least he beat his man, and got a good cross in. Keep it up, that’s all I ask
