Swans frustrate after first half domination at Derby 14th Feb 2026 17:59
The Swans went to Derby with clear intent to win this encounter but sadly didn’t have the know how to unlock the Derby defence to go down by two goals to nil this afternoon. Despite that the addition of Gustavo Nunes was a highlight but the negativity and frustration of the Swans play leading up to his introduction was the key point to be taken from this game. 0

Best team wins
Always
The best team is the one that scores more goals
Derby did that
I read “ imagine having to watch that Eustace shite every week “
I’d said imagine the mentality of somebody posting such shyte
Fans like winning md
Derby are in play offs
Over 27000 watched them today
Can’t all be purist mugs
We play pmtetty but our fans have walked away and not really returned
That’s because they hate losing
Winning brings back crowds
Losing playing pretty is a fantasy and what one sees on a forum
Every fan should detest losing and no amount of craic , drinking with chums, having great day put horse poo can hide the basics

Sport is about winning , the glory and the hope

It relieves folk of a mundane and often tough life

Footballers have it easy and nobody should think otherwise

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

There are just not enough goals in the team to win anything. We desperately need 2 more players to be getting into double figures for the season.
Our second highest scorer is Franco with 4.

Yes, been on about this too our writers for months. We’ve highlighted it on here, and if it’s that obvious then Matos should be seeing it too. The reason for me that there is insufficient goals coming from midfield is an easy one. We are not positive enough to push forwards and do so as was the example at Derby.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Throw in that we are too reliant Vipotnik with nobody to come on if things are not clicking for him. Three games coming up in eight days and Vipotnik will not be able to play every minute of every game. At some point we will have to play with a false 9 or bring Cullen on from the bench as a stand in, neither scenarios are ideal and we really shouldn't be in this position. IMO Wales shouldn't have gone out on loan, he only had 10 minutes yesterday, he would have probably had as many minutes with us.

Loaning Wales out isn’t the issue. Not bringing in a loan to temporarily replace him and Idah definitely is.

Key is out of form and Galbraith is out of position. If we had a prime Rangel to select, we could probably be more adventurous with who we pick on the right wing. As it is, he’s gone for the player who is best at protecting his fullback. Sort right back out and we can pick a winger with more end product.

It’s about scoring goals, but it’s also about not conceding goals

Decent reply
Idah seems crocked and hector be fully fit until the end of season
This puts a ludicrous strain on VIP
He can’t be subbed as we have nobody at all capable of being a striker
I read Ronald could play there , honest
Hence my stance of Fisher
If Vig gets injured nobody would seriously enjoy Fish between the sticks
He’s been found out too many times and a few Cup cameos should not lead to a new deal
We needed to get rid of
We couldn’t do we loaned him out
Now he’s back and we’re stuck with him
Vig might move on leaving Fisher back as No 1

These foolish things

With the possible exception of Nordfeldt, Fisher is easily the best backup keeper we’ve had since we were in the PL.

They tend to be untried youngsters or veterans who have bounced around the lower leagues all their careers.

IMO loaning Wales out when you have no cover is an issue, unless he is not rated currently to be good enough to be cover. Poor planning.

Matos seems to rate him behind Cullen as a striker at the moment. I’m sure it’s just a case of adapting.

Not bringing someone else in is an issue without a doubt. Loaning Wales out isn’t IMO. Keep him here not playing and he’s going to be in the same boat next season. Half a season with Huddersfield and he’s got a much better chance

I think certain players need to be less certain of their place in the side. Ronald has flattered to deceive for a while. Cullen is clearly not good enough to be starting games, yet still does. Stamenic does some good stuff and then we get the occasional brain fart, or he goes into Grimes mode and slows everything down.

Yalcouye has clearly earned a few starts yet again was on the bench. If Widell is fit enough to be on the bench, then he should be fit enough to start.

Having said all that, there has been an OTT level of reaction to what is becoming the unusual experience of defeat, even taking into account the nonsense from drama queens like Perchy.

Someone somewhere compared it to the Watford game and I think that's not a million miles from the mark. We score the first goal and we win that yesterday. I think Matos has to have a look at himself and his starting lineup and learn from the experience.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Re your last paragraph it was me.

We were second best in the first half at watford, they had several chances but couldnt convert, we played better in the second half and scored two

We didnt deserve to win that day and derby didnt yesterday, they just stopped us from playing, its going to happen now and again, if eom had passed a few times instead of being selfish then we might be talking about a different result as if we had scored first and a certain person who has posted non stop since the end of the game wouldn't be seen.
