NCP were seen by me as grossly overcharging for parking. The prices were so high I had a lifestyle change and preferred to catch the bus or use the park and ride or the train where possible.
This is excellent for a takeover as their crippling debts were a hangover from Covid .

NCP was broken up around 25 years ago, NCP retained street parking and other parts of the business and sold off the car parks to a bank/hedge fund type organisation. Around 2007 it was purchased by Macquarie ( formerly of Thames Water) and they moved it on about 9 years ago to another finance house. Macquarie lost around £250m on the purchase and then sale price, but it’s believed they turned a tidy profit on management fees etc etc.
Based on my experience, NCP charged extortionate rates for parking. I suspect they’ll be sold on by the Administrators, people and companies who’re owed money will miss out on we’ll see NCP resurrected with a similar name. |  | | |

When I started working way back when my first job then as a school leaver was up at the DVLA , I always was brought up on the wording of so up at The MOT now .
A trainer on my first induction to The Centre said , we never call it the mot centre so lesson one learned on my first day .
Allegedly the Labour Government at that time wanted to bring jobs to Swansea and recruitment started , I got lucky and was employed with at its height 7,500 staff as well .
An asset to the jobs market at the time , of course and a chance to get on in later times .
Still cast an eye to Longview Road and Clasemont area to this day .
