Much the same as most other Championship clubs, we are almost entirely dependent upon funding from ownership and have been since we got relegated from the Prem.

At some point financial reality is going to have to step in league wide. If that means axeing parachute payments so relegated clubs have only the same means as everyone else then so be it. Teams will just have to budget properly and make sure that their players have relegation pay clauses.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

The teams coming up will have a bigger budget spend too.

You do wonder how long this wholesale approach of owners underwriting losses will continue.

But thats mostly been the case for at least the past 30 years ,the old saying of how to become a millioniare , buy a football club as a billioniare ,or something similar .The cost of buying footballers is obscene and for me the game has become finiancially out of control and I'm losing interest ,especiallythe PL.

This is one of my concerns with the policy of paying for transfers over the term of the contract. Its just kicking the can down the road and living beyond your means. Continually passing the debt on from one year to the next means you are already eating into the next years budget before you start. Owners come and go will the next lot want to rake on this rolling debt on top of normal running costs.

If the players do well it is not a problem. Players like Eom and Ronald should be improving in their second season but are not. Vuipotnik has clearly.

I hope Inoussa Walta and Weidel will kick on next season or n and see their value quadruple. It may be time to move in Eom and Ronald. I would like to see Key tried as an out and out forward.

Some easily forget Santos who was our player and Benson on loan. Wales who is loaned out and not getting much game time, even the official site glossed over this, granted he is not an academy player but a similar age. Plus Idah where the jury is well and truly out. All signed in the last 10 months. Of the 10? Signings only Galbraith and Burgess are game starters on a regular basis. This may change but 8/9 months into the season it is not the case.

What happened to the £35m accumulated losses over 3 years rule? it is not skating on thin ice but smashed with a Russian ice breaker. .

A lot of expenditure gets taken out. The repairs at the stadium are exempt, as are payments for the academies and the ladies team. Once they are removed, we are well inside PSR regulations. No ice breaker needed.

We need to wait for the detailed accounts but I wouldn't assume we are well within PSR, within will be fine and thats what I expect.

It seems questions are being asked whether championship losses can be sustained.
