So expose him at PQT
He’s full of himself
Do it and give our land some hope after your party’s previous feckwit leaders

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Needs to boot out the wets.

I suspect Reform have run out of momentum and Restore are barely getting out of the starting blocks. A re-energised, actually Conservative party still has a chance. Probably not outright. A hung Parliament and coalition is still the most likely option come the next election for me, but Badenoch remains by far the most impressive current major party leader.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Then you're very easily impressed. Badenoch is a total joke whichever way you cut it

- Still believes Brexit was bluddy excellent
- Thinks we should have jumped into the Iran war with both feet
- Is convinced she was offered the chance to study Medicine at Stanford when only 16 - yes she was so great that she was offered something even US students aren't (it being a pg degree and that..), a fact confirmed be her magnificent BBD A level results
- Wants to expand drilling in the North Sea "net zero not really an issue".
- Said she was working class briefly because she worked at McDonalds.

I can go on.... Let's not even mention the numerous times she soiled the bed at PMQs

Wets in the Tory party ? :-D. I'll have some of what you've been smoking...

Weren't you on here not long ago claiming that capital flight was a myth?

Looks like Burnham has got rid of Lammy and teary Rachel from accounts on his first day .

Some confidence on them calls as both were worse than useless , but then to appoint to the role of Foreign Secretary is nonsense with Ed Milliband , a stalwart carbon neutral asking China , India and others please stop polluting our air .

Seems like he done a runner to get out Energy asap .

Rachel from Accounts was offered the The Defence Ministers job but said nope .

Not sure how that does or doesn't relate to your claimed efficacy of Ms Badenoch ?

Or your risible comment on wets. Who did you mean ? Patel ? Burghart ? Stride ? Trott ? Yeah way way too moderate - just modern day Heseltine/Clarke/Pattens

Firstly, just in case you weren't aware, "Rachel from Accounts" is generally considered to be a very misogynistic (very much in Farage and co's wheelhouse granted, but still...) comment.

As for confidence in her, can't say I was much of a fan but bond prices kept relatively steady under her watch - in fact, they were only spooked when there were rumours about her sacking being likely under Starmer IIRC.. Hardly another Kwasi Karteng was she ?

And China are leading the world on environmental tech partic solar panels and batteries. Plus BYD global sales continue to increase and their CO2 emissions has plateaued. China are fronting up and taking a lead on the issue of climate change.. I'm sure they'll be very keen to be supportive of Milliband's stance.

It goes towards general credibility of the witness Your Honour.

Someone who declared that anyone with money and sense wouldn't be doing a runner from the UK when it was already demonstrably happening and has only accelerated since, and subsequently identified Mel Stride as some sort of right wing hard nut when he's consistently voted for stuff like smoking bans, for minimum unit pricing, and for higher taxes on air travel is hardly someone worth paying attention to on, well, any subject really.

The problem that the UK faces is exemplified by people like you. Ostensibly intelligent and well educated, yet convinced that Governments of all stripes since 2010 are somehow "right wing" coded, when the reality is of course that since 1997 the UK has been Governed entirely from the centre or centre left. And that's just Parliament. The Civil Service, Police, Academia etc don't even pretend to be centrist.

It's been 30 years. Maybe more depending upon your opinion of John Major. The problems that the UK currently faces are entirely the fault of Liberals/Socialists. It's frankly pathetic to be claiming otherwise.

Completely different line of argument. Since you bring it up though, capital flight, and the risk thereof, is exaggerated frequently for the sake of political point-scoring (particularly in the "respected broadsheet" [*cough*] The Telegraph). There are always going to be venal self-centred a-wipes like Dyson and Ratcliffe who will f off - fine, don't let the door hit you on the aris on your way out. I stand by my original position - and also, here you go: https://researchonline.lse.ac.

I don't recall referring to Mel Stride as a rightwing hard nut and I don't actually believe that he is - but he certainly ain't a Tory "wet" by any reasonable yardstick of measurement.

As for the UK problems being the fault of Liberals/Socialists ? Come on - Blair's Labour -socialists ? Please..
The UK's current problems can be mostly traced back to the 2008 financial crisis, which itself came about because of feverish deregulation in financial services, the fallout deficit of which "Dave" Cameron decided could be rectified with his austerity programme => cuts to public services, the armed forces, community projects etc. Yes it was Blair's "Socialists" ( ) who had brought about the deregulation because that's what socialists do right ? Had it been the Conservatives they definitely wouldn't have done that would they ? Pull the other one old boy....

I suppose it was also the fault of the "Socialists" that Thatcher decided to sell of the family silver in the 80s as well was it ? Foolish Norway and their healthy sovereign wealth fund eh - look at what they could have won like us..

Art, political discourse !
I learned my lesson
It loses friends and alienates those would be otherwise be cordial
Being politically aligned from the mothers breast is guaranteed to narrow the broader view of life

I could truly write reams of polemic on politicians from any era of my life

As for Burnham ? I see another bad moon rising but his followers are impressively loyal like Ange and Louise

Yeah baby

Yeah very true *sigh*

Jury's out on Burnham but we have to desperately hope he can find some way through the morass. I don't even begin to be convinced that any of the other clowns have any solution.

All problems seem to be depressingly intractable. Woe, woe and thrice woe

Yep i like her and just hope she can get the right types by her side asap and and restore trust and build momentum for her party, the longer this lot who are governing us now remain in charge means the more difficult it will be to recover from the damage they will have caused.

Now there you go again …
Labour really can feck things up ya know
Political entrenched views strangle the soul
Damage ? Well let’s start with illegal immigration
Lewisham labour council now blocking immigration warrants therefore harder to track down illegals
Then the “ justice” system which is a laughing matter to cabinet ministers
Then net zero warlocks
Then the assault on pensions

You will disagree

No emotion

I don't have politically entrenched views, I'm open minded but realistic. They've inherited a mess and a lot of what needs to be improved will either cost a fortune or is out of our control.

They can feck things up, but at the moment they're improving the big ticket items. There is a long way to go though.

You come across as a genuinely fine man albeit one I find much to disagree with

I hold what are deemed far right views but also extreme left ones

The weird thing is a lot of the views that are “deemed far right” these days would have been regular left wing political discourse in the not too distant past. The likes of Tony Benn, Dennis Skinner and even Corbyn absolutely railed against the European Union for decades, yet nobody would ever consider calling them far right. My antipathy towards the European Union is far more in alignment with the views of Tony Benn than they ever would be towards chancers like Farage yet I and many others would be immediately labelled a gammon or a Nazi on a daily basis simply for exercising my democratic right to vote a certain way in a referendum.

Politics is getting far too trivial. There are too many idiots who can’t hold a coherent thought together and just want to throw shit at people who disagree with them rather than put forward a competent argument.

You're absolutely right.

I honestly think that internet forums have replaced intelligent conversations in pubs on a weekend. That makes it too easy to segregate people in to "groups".

As I've said before, the world would be a better place without the internet. Life is too easy across the board.

There's only a cigarette paper between the truly far left and far right. Both terms that get mentioned too much. Both are a tiny minority.

Corbyn being in charge of Labour was a catastrophe. Especially at the time he was
