Back to front would be the best way to describe this fixture. The Swans with plenty of momentum initially but very little in the way of any sort of standard in front of goal. Birmingham City won this as a result of poor defending and along with their second half performance deserved to win this game. 2

One way to avoid being pressed in your own goal area at a goal kick is to go long sometimes and go over the press ,not constantly and stubbornly put yourself under pressure by tapping it sideways and penning yourself in ,it’s boring to watch and leads to conceding goals through mistakes

Everyone in the ground can see it’s causing problems but our bench by the looks of it

Stamenic played too deep and slowed play down so much all his passing options were marked out of the game,I can’t remember him pushing forward much at all and then we compound it by putting Fulton alongside him second half and it’s no surprise we couldn’t get forward or even out of our own half with those 2 constantly playing sideways and back nullifying us as an attacking threat

Agree with this. We saw in the world cup a number of teams were adopting a 'territory' type tactic from kick off kicking the ball deep into touch by the corner flag. This allows them to press the opposition early. Whilst sometimes playing out of the back has its benefits to draw in attackers early, just hoof the ball upfield as far as you can go. It's 50/50 whether you get it back and if you do you're in the opposition half.
