It’s a tricky decision. Slotting Walsh in out wide could be risky given how outstanding he’s been at centre-back; having a bad game on the wing might knock his confidence, or we could end up struggling through the middle of defense in his absence. Having said that, I think the Dutchman has more than enough quality to cover that move without any issues—or perhaps even Parente could play at full-back. It’ll be interesting to see what Matos manages to pull off |

Honestly, we're lucky to have one of the most reliable keepers in the league. Welsh—blimey, what a player, and he plays the ball out with such unbelievable composure, even if I feel he's not quite as comfortable alongside Cabango as he was with Lissah. Overall, a poor performance, but if we want to push for a playoff spot we're bound to have a few more like this. The important thing is knowing how to win when playing badly, which is even more valuable away from home |

I honestly reckon the whole deal with Monga is more about paperwork than wondering whether he has the necessary standard, because he clearly already has that—he played 921 minutes in the Championship last season. Now, I can understand Matos and his favorites, but how long has it been since we had a winger who actually wins a 1v1? None of the wingers we currently have possess that quality; in fact, statistically, Inoussa was the one who had the most successful dribbles last campaign. No matter how collectively you play the Swansea Way, if we create nothing from the wide areas, it’s completely useless. We’ve forgotten the Dyers, the Sinclairs, the Pablo Hernándezes, the Waynes... I think the last decent winger we had who made a real difference was Daniel James |

Eckhart won the coaches contest as you'd expect with a good team well versed in his play. Swans off the pace particularly mentally, and the game slipped away. A recovery 2nd half started brightly and Saints a bit bothered but it fizzled out.
I'm not picking on Just, because I havent focussed on him in play, and theres a but of course. My impression is that hes not at the pitch and pace of championship football yet, unless im not giving him credit for subtlety. That comment in no way puts the below par team performance at his door, just his contribution.
Credit to Ronald for leading by example when he came on, with him and Widdell bringing some missing tempo with them. |

Without a doubt, it's going to be a tough match for Swansea, but even tougher for me—I'll have to be slick at work to catch it, since it'll be right around 1:00 PM over in Mexico. Still, I trust in my own skills and the team's to keep us happy under hostile conditions for everyone, haha! |
