Well - who saw that coming? Rs have played beautifully in patches all season but unfortunately those patches have been getting shorter and shorter. Until today, when they controlled the game for 80 minutes and even when Leistner's injury meant we had to play the last 10 minutes with 10 men we were doing ok until the last kick of the game. Sad to say Lumley should have done better with that long range shot, but today is a day to dwell on the positives - and there were many. Strangely I thought Cardiff looked a better team than Hull had done on Sunday, and their recent form has been quite good so this really was a special performance from the Rs.

Rightly Samuel and Wells will get the most praise but I'd like to single out Amos and Ball in our midfield for providing a solid base, preventing Cardiff from building any momentum, and Amos especially for prompting the attack with a good range of interceptions, passing and movement. He's taken his time after a serious injury and perhaps found adapting to the Championship difficult at first, but is now showing why he has been highly rated. Also a shout for Warbs whose decision to play Cameron at right back came out of left field (to coin a phrase). I thought he wouldn't have the pace or mobility, but his strength and height were invaluable when we had to survive Cardiff's arial assault.

Bright Osayi-Samuel is in peak form. Not just his pace, but his strength in the tackle and his balance when recovering from challenges are brilliant. Even better he's scoring goals - fabulous goals - and more often putting the ball into the right areas when crossing, i.e. where our strike force is waiting. Teams aren't able to double up on him and Eze so space appears. Long may he continue to scare full backs.

Get in there :-)

Happy new Year Everyone. Great work rate in a deserved 1-0 win against a poor Spurs side. Ingsy the match winner. The man is pure class.
Biggest referee mistake and VAR mistake in the entire season, when both Dean and VAR somehow didn´t see the clearest handball in the box You´ll ever see - by Judas Alderweireld. Luckily it didn´t matter, but had it mattered, it should have been the final nail in the coffin for Mike Dean. I don´t know whether he is bribed or just insane, but it is time to help the poor post turtle down. He is ridiculously useless.

Where were the performances with effort earlier in the season?

If Adams was brought in as a long term replacement for Long, then hes doing a great job of replicating his goal tally.

Did we win?

At least we saw Romeu break his own record for backwards and sideways passing, truly rubbish. Thank god for the kids at least they can shoot straight when they're in front of goal.

A win but only just . A game littered with errors and against any real competition we would have beeen slaughtered. Vestergaard cannot pass and is a hoofer . Boufal showed why he was sent on loan same old same old .
Well done to Vokins and Smallbone they took their chances .
Long and Ward Prowse the only class acts . Awful to watch and levels below our recent performances .
Hassenhutl will know who he needs to get rid of after this display.

Don’t know what everyone was expecting, Sky BT have done an exceptional job of killing the magic of the cup. No one takes it seriously because the riches of the premier league far out-way the prestige of the FA Cup sadly. Vestergaard please can we get shot of to Werder Bremen ASAP.
