Its the city where i live and most will believe., like i do, that there is little to choose between the 2 teams. Sadly, their message boards are dominated by those with IQs well below 100.
They look really good going forward but all the evidence shows they concede as well.
The improvements since Steve took over has probably surprised themselves. I hope our big game experienced players triumphs over youthful exuberance. |  |

To be honest, they were the first side to actually give QPR a game at LR instead of the defend for your lives tactic which was deployed by everyone else. They lost though.
I wasn't overly impressed with them when they won 1-0 at theirs, there goal was a blatant foul for starters and QPR were in poor form at the time.
Overall I think it will be a really good game and as many playoffs have been, plenty of goals. |
We were without Simpson and Austin at the away game too, think we'll be a very different proposition for them with those two back in the side. |  | | |

I think if the Wigan games proved anything it's that HR knows his players. Like everyone else I have my opinions about who should, or shouldn't start, but I'm willing to concede he knows better.
So far as the match itself is concerned, I think the longer it goes with no score the better our chances. They've can score in bunches when their tails are up. But, though we've look dull and listless in too many matches, even at our worst we've never collapsed like Brighton did in the second leg.* If we're tied – or even behind by a goal like yesterday – at half-time the pendulum swings in our favour.
*Everton in the FA Cup and at Wednesday are arguable exceptions, but I'd say we never even got going in those games | | | |

I'd say Derby's team is about as good as ours, and so is their support. One difference though is that we had to fight considerably harder than they did to get to Wembley and that just might sharpen our attitude and give us an edge. |  | | |

I don't think he will leave them out. I am saying what I would do. Harry has started with a different team than I woul dhave done most of this season, and we usually make changes at half time to correct how poorly we start.
Disagree with those that want Morrison dropped. He's a match winner and he won't be fazed. For me, he has to start.
Also partly agree about Henry starting in a final at Wembley as being disappointing, but I think he offers protection that allows our midfielders to push further up and stay there. Although he's very pragmatic himself, I think his commitment to sit and hold allows the team to be more attacking generally.
Let's wait and see. We know HR will do what the fck he wants and draw his team like countdown

Energetic, pacey, well organised and devastating on the counter. They will score. But they are also likely to concede, their defence is not the best and man for man we should have enough to overcome them. But we HAVE to pick the right team to do that job.
We HAVE to start with Ravel, also Traore if he's fit, none of this Doyle on the RW bollocks, get pacey wingers on the big Wembley pitch and stretch them. Don't play pacey attacking midfielders though and ask them to sit 10 yards behind our half way line like last Fri against Wigan, let's play like we did last night, high tempo, attacking football. Each player in their best position, not shoe horning anybody in.
If we do that they won;t be able to live with us. Either way I think it'll be a good game, Derby are not there by accident, they are a great little team. |
Agree with that team, mate...apart from one key position.
I'd start Niko over Ravel. Niko was excellent last night - very sharp, worked hard, and his touch and passing were good. Morrison has looked completely off the ball in both play off legs and has looked a little bit like he's got stage fright.
Niko should start in my book and he should start in the no. 10 position. |  | | |

Jim Smith had managed Oxford prior to taking over the reigns at LR. The suggestion being that it gives you no help. It didnt help Schtevee at LR when returning with Derby after only 10 games away.

I don't see why he wouldn't go with O'Neil again in that position.
