On behalf of all precious blokes who speak with a white, working-class London accent, I’d just like to say I’m glad Clive’s seen sense and decided to stop with his borderline-hate-crime phonetic recording of Harry’s weekly platitudes. Both comments are true, although neither make sense when combined together.
This could be a post from a sort of Discodroid who read the Times, tied a mean dry fly, made his own sweet and sour sauce and did self portraits like Tears Of A Clown. On the press conference , I have to nail my colours to the mast and say that I am not keen on it .
I had an exchange with Clive on here a few games ago about it which led to him putting "If you dont like it dont click on it " in the title ...Fair enough . I would never dig him out in secret on Twitter or the like .
I didnt post on the QPR Dave thread because he was digging a big hole and his objections were not the same as mine ..it got a bit silly .
Firstly the word "presser" to pinch a Northism really boils my piss . I realise Clive uses it in parody but it never fails to irritate me.I stopped following The QPR Media "team" for this among other things
Mainly I just think reporting the conference in that style invites all of the posters who cant stand the manager whatever he does to have a free for all in slagging him off a day or two before a game , have a look at the previous ones which i think bear me out . It just invites negativity IMO
In fairness I felt previously that Clive was doing in that way to have a go at the manager for results and performances but looking at the Hull one It seems that it was a conscious descision to do it that way this season and I get the parody of the "Sky Sports " charade.

Not wanting to speak for Dave, but personally I don't even think he believed what he was saying himself. Dave wasn't offended by the press conference thread at all. However he was angry with me from the immigration thread row a few weeks before and was desperate to make out that me taking the pis out of Harry was some form of 'racism' to show me up as hypocrite for deleting the Muslim bashing threads but then writing that. He got so caught up with it that he ended up hammering away at a point he knows himself is nonsense.
The bloke who started if off on Twitter wasn't somebody I knew if previously, but by half a dozen accounts he's a well known wind up merchant gobshte on there and I was his latest sad little project. So he'll be ignored.
To your point Essex - some people on here like Harry, others don't. That isn't influenced by my thread. If I did a serious round up those that don't like him would still pick fault. If I did no thread at all somebody else would post what he said and people would still pick fault.
Overall I'm amazed at the strong feelings on both sides. When did the fcking world get so serious? The British have existed for centuries on stoic self deprecation, piss taking and taking as little seriously as possible. This descent into constantly looking for things to be offended by and pursue an apology for us almost certainly the EU's doing.
