I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.

The stranger: Twisty, turny adaptation of Harlan Coben's book of the same name

Blimus, I recognised the face but didn't realise Katz is Dennis Pennis.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

I’m just getting to the end of the last series of Last Chance U on Netflix. I saw the first series years ago, but I’ve skipped straight to Series 4. The subject matter of college football might put some people off, but as a study of managerial and institutional dysfunction, it can’t be beaten. I try to avoid Americanisms, but there isn’t a better description of Coach Brown than “giant douche”.

All of a sudden there seems to be some really great TV going on right now into this new decade of ours.

As mentioned before by the more astute LFW members,

Outsiders - Saul - Watchmen - Narcos Mexico Season 2 - Hunters - Locke & Key - Gemstones - Master Chef! (again)

Also, I coulnt find the thread regarding QPR related TV etc.
Found this yesterday if you are interested.

Sort of QPR related 1min 58sec's in

'Better Call Saul' is back and still gripping and hilarious at the same time.

Have finally started watching 'The Deuce'.

Instant classic, can't recommend it enough. 1970's and the birth of the pron industry, hookers, pimps, mafia, humour, great script, great acting, great soundtrack, empathy and real, quality characters.

But certainly NSFW.

Life In Pieces on Amazon Prime.

Family comedy, 20 minute episodes, nice light-hearted occasionally LOL stuff.

With Hunter King.

Wisting was excellent on BBC4 I think.

Just in the middle of Quicksand on Netflix. Very good, too.

Another Scandi-Noir fan methinks.

I loved 'The Bridge' and 'The Killing' - so much so that I have watched both twice.

Since then I have ploughed through a lot of Scandi-Noir type stuff, trying to hit the same dizzy heights of quality and get the same level of enjoyment as those two.

One that is right up there is 'Jordskott' - a mix of Scandi-noir detective + dark fantasy-bordering-on-the-occult. Seriously good.
It's not available on Netflix, and on Amazon you need to buy it, but both series are on Daily Motion for free:
https://www.dailymotion.com/search/jordskott

Also, a series of four really good Scand-Noir films are the Department Q series (both actors who are the police partnership, like in 'The Bridge', are excellent). They are cheap on Amazon Prime and available free elsewhere

Right now I'm watching a German series 'Dark' on Netflix - really good so far.

Never been a fan of Ricky Gervais but binged watched season 2 of After life, season one passed me by so will go back to that.

Really liked it, sad and funny, lots of stuff much like when I lost my wife to cancer.

The short Sam Willis series, "Britain's outlaws: Highwaymen, pirates and rogues" on BBC4 and the iPlayer was excellent, I thought.

The episode about pirates was packed with crazy stuff and the story of Calico Jack was full of twists. Spoiler alert: LFW's very own Captain Pugwash sadly did not feature.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

If you haven`t watched Derek yet give that a go.
