Uddersfield Match thread........i've gone early 12:26 - Sep 15 with 23254 viewsRangersDave

Hi everyone, because of this..........

"We were too far apart and could not break them down. It was hard and then when they won the ball they had an easy pass forward.
“When the opposition can play the first pass forward. The first couple of goals was on the transition, which we normally do very well.
“The players have given me everything. We've lost together and we're going to pick ourselves up and be right again for Saturday.”

I've decided to go to the match on Saturday in the hope that Jimmy, realising the errors witnessed against the bar codes, will turn the team around.

So i'm predicting that possibly Huddersfield wont have had a man at the match taking notes and we will run riot with the Udders being on the end of QPR team wrath!

0-4 to Rangers

Uddersfield Match thread........i've gone early on 15:50 - Sep 17 by Hunterhoop

There is a degree of bitter irony in the fans hounding out Ramsey and making his position untenable, only for him to be replaced by JFH, under whom the results haven't improved, and we're actually a lot less exciting to watch.

Ramsey had his faults, made mistakes and we were far from great under him. But we were nowhere near as bad as some made out at the time (or since). We at least scored some goals and could attack a bit, even if we were soft defensively. Now we're just soft defensively and play with little to any attacking intent.

Now, if only Alanis Morisette can squeeze summarise that into a two lines....

Whilst I agree with all of that Hunter, it's not really helpful to bring it up at the moment. There has been and is likely to be enough hysteria on this board anyway,without mentioning our former manager.

Ramsey had flaws, Jimmy has different flaws. And rain on your wedding day isn't particularly ironic.

agree playing crap but only 1-0 down now's the time for managers to gee up their players and use their so called tactical brains to work out a way to improve their team and defect their opponents

over to you jimmy

keep it tight then bring on polter last 20mins or so is the likely plan

Listen to the band play!

Hasn't sounded good at all. Where is a leader, any leader?

Would like to say that I think Les and Hoos are doing a good job and that we've done very well in the market this summer. There's good players here but at the moment they just don't know what they're supposed to do to affect games. That's on Jimmy.

On Tuesday it was pass sideways, pass sideways, pass forward, lose the ball... opposing team burst forward passing the ball high tempo and create a chance. Seems to be the same story today I cant believe how slow we appear We aren't even getting to the other teams box, to create a chance of scoring a goal I'm losing faith very quickly

Hasn't sounded good at all. Where is a leader, any leader?

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a QPR fan, my son!

It is possible to lose a game without being a shambles, to draw a game without being lucky, and to win a game and look convincing? It is isn't it? Why can't we just look organised, have committed players, attack, play some nice football, win one, draw one, lose one........ you know? How many years of looking lost in the f*cking wilderness can one team do?

Come of JFH! Come on Rangers! FFS!

We're on a terrible run of form that most not all teams go through, I'd rather go through that bad run of form now not in March or April, at least it can get addressed early in the season as opposed to when games are running out.
I'm not 100% convinced though that JFH can address it though, he's not experienced it before?
We'll see, like I said earlier we haven't lost this game yet, whilst we're only losing 1-0 there's always a chance but we still don't sound good out there on the pitch.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Not having a pop at you but I've never really understood this "leader" line. We don't have player-managers any more. The leader is the manager and the players should be prepared. Who is a leader at Man City? Kompany, who doesn't often play but when he does shouts a lot and is usually the most braindead player on the pitch? Or is Sterling a leader now? It's all management.

hehe....I know. I was just being a bit cheeky.

I'm not getting too het up about things at present. It's poor. It's disappointing, but i really do think the fanbase hasn't helped things, isn't helping things and needs to remember the club we were and the sort are club we truly are (i mean position in the football pyramid).

And i just couldn't resist making the point in that way. I'm sorry.
