Jeers for players is never right but let’s have it right, Conor Toshington has not been barracked and he wasn’t last night. He does however deserve criticism for his abject and anonymous performances and Ollie can be rightly questioned for continually selecting him.

I’ve said it before, the vast majority of QPR fans know their football and follow their club through thin and thinner. If there’s a few brick batts thrown at someone it’s generally deserved in my humble opinion
Turning to the bigger picture- 21 efforts on goal last night but only 4 on target. Please God let Gary the tache unearth a couple of strikers this season as if not we are in for yet another relegation battle next year. This season’s not yet out to bed but I’d say we’re edging towards safety

it was an odd performance from him...he hasnt been great and but he isnt usually anonymous. I would have thought that that 3 man attack would have suited him and he really was anonymous. I cant really fault any other players tonight but conner was off the ball even for him. |

As aghast as I was when Lynch went up front it's worth noting that he's the first 'forward' this season who has actually turned a defender and run onto a through pass.

For the short time he was on, Lynch appeared to cause Derby a few problems. I'd sooner him up that end of the pitch than the other end!
It's not the 1st time Olly has stuck Lynch up top. He reasonably good in the air as you'd expect, and must be a decent a finisher in training sessions. Gives us a another slightly unorthodox option I suppose. |  | | |

Washington just not good enough I'm afraid. Frustrating, especially as we paid so far over the odds for him, and he shouldn't be abused for it as he always tries hard. But yeah, he's just not got the nouse to do it at this level for QPR.
I got the cheers when he went off but it was just as much for us bringing Eze on as anything else IMO.
He needs to be taken out the team for his own good TBH, things will get a lot more toxic if we keep playing him. |  |

It may come down to interpretation though as it wasn't jeering, but loud cheers that Washington was being taken off. I didn't hear any booing, but I have no doubts as to what the cheers represented. It did quite quickly change to applause from the majority of supporters.
I am quite a fan of Washington apart from his finishing, but last night he was not good (probably poor is a better description). Especially in the second half when he moved further forward in a 4-3-3. In the first half he was wide on the left & made a defensive contribution but offered nothing going forward.
I would like to see him left out of the side for a while & give Eze a run of games. | | | |

The Sky Sports reporter was right that Washington was ineffective but the goal wasn't his fault as he wasn't on Palmer. Palmer slipped past Scowen and Luongo with ease, Washington then left his man but couldn't have caught Palmer if he had a motorbike. Palmer continued on to ghost past Bidwell who was far too wide and then easily beat Robinson with a feint and pass. Smithies should have been out quicker.
I would say that five Rangers players contributed to the goal - Scowen, Luongo, Bidwell, Robinson and Smithies. |  |

Without harping on about it, he was piss poor tonight. His performance was epitomised by two possessions around their goalmouth which he just smashed against a defenders legs when there was no chance of scoring a goal. Whatever lies in his professional future I on't think the way forward is at Loftus Road. As mentioned before, it was like starting with 10 men. IMO Bidwell & Robinson were poor throughout but, at times it appeared to be as a result of miscommunication and a touch of uncertainty with the new(ish) defensive plan. It is the sort of thing that can be cleaned up in pre season. The free kick for the goal looked like a perfectly executed training ground routine. |

He makes his mind up about what he's going to do early and then it's head down and follow through with it, even if that opportunity has now diminished. He's not on his toes, he isn't cute with his link up play, he doesn't read the game very well and he needs more than one clear cut chance to score.
He's been given enough of an opportunity but when you see how people like Luongo, Eze, Smyth etc read the game and do the right things more often than not, you can't accomodate Wash for the sake of it.
It's frustrating as we all wanted him to succeed, but his lack of early career/high level coaching really shows and at this level, industry and work ethic isn't enough to overcome other deficiencies | |

Exactly right , when we got promoted the first couple of games Charlie did the same thing but he learned and adapted quickly and the goals started to flow again . | | | |

Didn't hear any cheers when he was substituted but the guy is just not cutting it at this level.
It has not been easy for him, lack of confidence and being played out of position.
His strengths are his workrate and speed and his touch has improved a lot.
I dont see him being with us next season but I do feel our midfield three hold on to the ball
to long sometimes and to get the best out of CW speed they should release the ball earlier.
That being said he needs an awful lot of chances before he puts one away | | | |

I didn't see the game. I'm just saying that if the manager changes the formation to something like 433 and the players are not used to it, then even players who you might expect to be more suited to that formation may struggle the first time. | |
