Possibly the greatest of all time.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Sad news. Was also a talented writer - worth reading his book Ghost Rider.

Proof, once again, that life just isn't fair.
I'm just glad I've seen him live on a couple of occasions and heard his amazing solos. Dave Grohl said he is known as 'the professor' because everyone else learns from him. He was the master, no doubt.
RIP.

Time stand still
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
Time stands still
See more of the people
And the places that surround me now

"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.

RIP

I've struggled to get into Rush but I do like some early albums, however he was an incredible drummer.

Echo everything said here. His lyrics really made Rush and the drumming was in the top league.

No possibly about it, he was the best ever and I am absolutely devastated Andrew. Anyone on here who knew me when I lived in the UK from 1999 to 2003 will know what this band meant to me, I was lucky enough to see them 52 times all over the world before they retired in 2015

Obit by One Of Us, I note.

EDIT: bloody good one too, sums up Rush very well. Reminds me of what I used to love about them and has got me listening again. Spirit of Radio is still an astonishing track - it's got all those prog rock signature changes but they all seem to have a purpose, they don't make it too long, and the overall tune remains strong.
