Lost count of the many headers he won.
Positioning excellent.
Decent pace (maybe not top-line, though?)
Cool in possession.
Good passer.
Good talker.
Likes to get forward.

Clear MOTM again today.
Very exciting potential.

Yup very impressed with him again. Confident, calm, assured, didn’t let himself get bullied by their no. 9. I also thought Dom Ball played well too.

Agree about Ball. A real leader, by example and by communication.

My ratings, FWIW:

Kelly 7 - two fine saves, good on crosses, good distribution.
Masterson 8 - as above
Hall 5 - solid but took a chance leaving his man outside him in space and got punished.
Wallace 6 - decent game
Kane 6 - ditto
Amos - quiet first half but attacked well in the second, not sure why he came off
Ball 7 - tackles like a demon, covers well, shouts and argues. Like him a lot.
Eze 6 - very good from 45-65, but tired again maybe?
Chair 6 - which might have been harsh by me.
BOS 6 - Miscontrolled a few times, seemed hesitant like earlier in the season.
Hugill 6 - Game as ever.

Pugh 4 - dear me.
Shodipo 6 - bad miss, but really got involved.
Clarke 7 - very impressed.

He’s showing Hall up a bit now. Another highly competent 90 minutes.

Thought Eze was very good, created numerous half chances with his passing and excellent corners and set pieces. Thought Chair was poor, one excellent pass to BOS, and then just too many touches and no early ball.

With Hughill upfront need to change our style of play and would bench Chair for either Clarke or Shodipo both of whom made an impact today.

Play Eze in the middle and maybe Hall is not forced into such a speculative long pass that cost us goal.

He was good today. Not far of scoring and should have had a penalty when Barker shoved him over in the box. No problem with MW picking him over Leistner.

Also agree on Ball. He was man of the match for me. Much more mobile than Cameron and his passing was much better today.

Warburton seems to have a bit of a blind spot when it comes to Pugh. Good bloke and all that but bringing him on for Amos was not what was needed. Clarke gave their full back a torrid time in the last ten minutes. Could be handy off he bench over the next few games.

The ball just wouldn't go in. When their excellent forward cleared one from under his own bar with one of the best defensive headers you'll see, I knew it wasn't going to be our day.

He is excellent. Said to a friend today he's already better than hall. Wonder if he could of been introduced earlier. Brilliant signing. Free transfer!

...a week and a half is a long time! I got a bit of a short shrift when I sung his praises last week!

Very good today but Ball was my MOM.

I can't agree about Pugh today. I thought he offered us more down the left that BOS did on the right . He wasn't as good when he went central though!

Clarke was much better than against Wednesday.

General opinion was that I might have been Overreacting suggesting that the question was who partners Masterson at CB as at the time he’d only played 2 1/2 games. He’s now played 4 1/2 games and the question has been confirmed as the reality! ...I would humbly submit

Masterson looking really good, gaining confidence with each game. Clarke although only 10 mins playing time looked better today. Shame Amos had to go off he had a great 2nd half and like to keep him. Pugh sub standard for me and that air shot in the penalty box well sums him up- underwhelming.

Was a highlight today, love how composed he is on the ball and how he brings the ball out (bit Handyside-esque,Clive..) Eze and Bright not firing on all cylinders. Wonder if Wells-gate has affected them?

Pleasing. Fingers crossed, that'd be sweet. Clarke Carlisle mark 2.
