Let’s nip this in the bud. He was a great manager last week.

But how many easy chances did Forest get. Warburton has had a decent time to sort the defence out so you have to wonder if he can. He clearly has talents in many areas but seemingly organising a defence is not one of them. If this team is to succeed we must at the very least get somebody into the club that can. Working under Warburton is fine by me, I am not asking for him to be sacked by any means just get somebody to help him with the defence.

No excuse, but interesting watching replays of McFazdeen's goal. No one has noticed McFazdeen has a hand on Barbets head, pushing him down and allowing McF to get his header in

He’s not exactly manhandling him. Barbet has got to be more physical there. Watch the set pieces again. Before it’s taken at the edge of the box it is Barbet’s man that scored, not Dykes. It looks like it’s Dykes at the end, but we set up with our men ball side nearer the corner taker. Small shove and it’s a free header. This is professional football. It’s a contact sport. Barbet has to grow a pair and be stronger.

He’s had one season in which he completely built a new side in one summer and finished higher than the previous year.
He’s not above criticism at all and defending tonight after being decent v forest (point to missed chances if you like but teams will always create some chances) was abysmal, particularly those final 3 corners. He has to find a solution. Fast.
But sorry, he has not had the gig a long time. I mean, maybe by our fked up standards he has, but 1 year, half of which was in fkn lockdown? Come off it Ted. That’s bollox and you know it.

When you lose, hughill, wells and eze and replace them with a striker who for two matches has seen very little of any service inside the box, we`re not going to be competitve as we were last season. Add to the mix the calamity at the back your second point might just be one word too long.

We should have put our foot on the throat of a very poor Coventry side in the first half and been more aggressive. First time I’ve seen Dickie...possibly the most unathletic footballer I can remember seeing. Looking forward to see just how low the match rating is for Wallace in the write up. He was atrocious.

yes we did beat Forest but that could have been different
Be interesting to see how many times Coventry score 3 this season
Last year we scored for fun and was bad defensively. The scoring for fun seems to have come to an end with Hugill... Wells... and Eze gone
The defence is just as bad.... so it is not looking good
There is little chance we will get 3 players to score like those I mentioned... so we need to tighten up.... and quick because on tonight's viewing it looks grim

We look like conceding everytime our opponent went forward tonight , this was a terrible Coventry team who were there for the taking yet we fell to pieces at every set piece, the second goal was a disgrace , how many games have we thrown away points from winning positions under warburton, the answer is to many

Go and have a sit down, maybe in a dark room, and have a good read of the order of the conversation. I misunderstood Ted’s post but you seem to have run with it.

pah, probably you're right...I don't know the answer, but as you say, something has to be done, but yet nobody actually knows what. I thought we needed someone nasty out there today, somebody who'd take ownership a bit. Maybe that isn't Toni, maybe I'm thinking of a Derry or a Hill....but either way, I felt we lacked leadership and heads dropped in that second half.

We desperately need a new coach in to be tasked with sorting out the defence. Clearly none of the current group can do it. It’ll be worth more points than any signing will. Dickie can defend corners. He’s defender a lot in his career. As has Barbet and Wallace. And Cameron. There is experience there. It must be how we’re set up at corners and an attitude issue.

I listened to the podcast this morning. It seems as though Warburton knows there are going to be problems defending height/physicality but is ok with that because it allows us to get more skillful players in and create more the other end.

That's true. But on the balance of what we've seen this year and last...is it worth it? There must, surely, be an acknowledgement that the pendulum has swung too far. We all want to see wonderful attackimg football but to PPs point, we shouldn't be hiding behind the sofa every time the opposition gets a corner. And this is going to get worse. Every opponent now knows we have a massive weakness at corners and is going to spend the week before the game focusing on how to score from corners

I don’t think anyone is suggesting we sack anyone...just hire a defensive coach. Cheaper than signing a player.
