Dude, we got our team back 21:51 - Apr 15 with 1864 viewsMyke

Superb second half performance, played completely on the front foot. We dominated the second half and at times Huddersfield could not get out of their own half. First half we were a bit tentative, but didn't fold despite conceding early. The equaliser came at a crucial time and second half we snapped into tackles, won second balls all over the park and passed the ball FORWARD (shock horror) at every possible opportunity.

Of course, with an improved performance (which has actually being gradually coming over the last two games) comes the frustration that if we played anything like that in just TWO games against the two shitiest teams in the league, we would be on 66 points and right in the promotion mix. Today's results show that all the teams in and around the play-offs will drop points. but sadly it comes too late for us- even if we won the 4 remaining games, 72 points is never going to be enough.

What it does prove (i hope anyway, although the cynical in me whispers that the players were putting themselves in the shop window for the next manager) is that Warburton hasn't 'lost the dressing room' and this must both give him great heart to continue (if he wants to) and Ferdinand and Co food for thought regardless of where we finish.
What it also proves is that with a couple of pacy additions up front (and McCallum please, than you) we are a promotion -chasing team

Special mention for our two full-backs (who played more advanced than when they were playing as wing-backs. Moses seems to have come through a very ropey patch and is showing real form lately. McCallum was my MotM for his attacking play, aggressive defending (and that remarkable goal-line clearance - for all our good play, if that goes in, it's game over)
Finally, a shout out to Dykes who looked much more like the guy in the clip leading up to the first goal, that Clive showed.us against Preston. At one point, he headed away a ball inside his own box, then charged the length of the field to force a Huddersfield defender turn around and pass it back to his keeper rather than launching another attack.

Yup, they came out of the shower at last and played much closer to their real ability. Pity it’s probably too late, but better we keep Warburton than tear it all down to gamble on a new saviour.

On the subject of the out-of-contract, another great showing by Moses, the only player whose performances have improved since the New Year (and that’s understating how much better he had played).

Disclaimer: I’m not saying it will happen, but…

Beat Derby and Stoke and it makes Sheff Utd a very interesting match.

Yesterday’s second half performance must surely put an end the “Warburton’s lost the dressing
room “ nonsense

Strong and stable my arse.

lets all calm down and be more circumspect about this...... after all 1 swallow doesnt make a decent girlfriend, does it?

1 draw guys, 1 draw...... it wasnt a win, it wasnt a performance to set the world of it's axis......

What it was was a draw...... however...... it was a good fightback, from going down twice.
Now it might be worth analysing why we didnt get a third to win it, more than 1 guy having a good match for the first time in how long?

No doubt the 'happy clappers' will shout me down, but if 1 reasonably decent performance in how many games? gets you truly excited, i'm glad for you, me? i want to see that type of effort each week, even if we lose.

Roll on the next game and the one after to actually see if 'We've got our Rangers back' not just a sporadic 1 in xxx games reasonable performance.

No, you're right that it was one better performance after some poor ones. However, I think what a lot of people on here take exception to is others ignoring the superb 2021 we had, and asserting during a poor run of form that we suddenly had no coaching, team spirit etc from 1st February onwards.

It's not true that the coaching suddenly became non-existent on 1st Feb and it's also not true to suggest that we are out of the woods after a much better showing yesterday.

Actually, I'm always more fearful of our home matches. MW has not got a good record at LR, and the last few homes have been dreadful. Derby will be well up for it, even if they look doomed. We need to treat it the same way. No more excuses for half - arsed performance's at HQ. Think it will be another draw myself.
