Sounds like he'll be off if he gets the Jamaica job full time

Only fvcking QPR could come off the fence heavily in favour of one candidate in a club civil war and lose both.

Of all the mysteries that have beset us in 2022 ie: Why did we turn to sh it? Why did Warburton get the push? (maybe that answers the first mystery) Where’s Lyndon Dykes? How is the missing Lyndon Dykes now in the Scotland squad? And why are our goalkeeper injury figures increasing like a Covid graph from 2020? The one that puzzled me most was why did Andre Gray play in a World Cup qualification game for Jamaica (a dead rubber) on one Thursday (?) near the end of the season which meant he missed the next QPR game - when we still had an outside chance of the play-offs. It may have been the Huddersfield game. Just didn’t make sense to me.

If its mysteries you like, he's called up Dillon Barnes to be Jamaica's number one for the game tomorrow.

That was very strange; it didn't seem like something that would happen at a well-run club.

You can't stop a player being called up, any more than you can stop a player going to play an international game. In fact, if was picked and refused to go, I think he could even be fined?

Bare bones.

I can't get the notion out of my head that Paul Hall is a Viz character. Obviously it would be Paul Hall: he's very tall.

I’m all for players representing their country. I especially love it when an Rs players appears in an international. In this situation Gray was picked for 2 qualification games. Jamaica still had a shout for qualification. Gray didn’t play in the first game which Jamaica lost thus ending their World Cup hopes. But he plays in the 2nd game - now rendered meaningless - but it meant he missed the QPR game in which we were still needing the points. I just found it odd.

Why was it odd? If a player is called up by his country, and is not injured, he has to go and does go in the normal course of things, does he not?

It was 3 games I think and he was only able to play the 2 home games for whatever reason. Perhaps from a point of view of seeding for future tournaments and Paul Hall wanting the gig full time, it wouldn't have been a dead rubber in their eyes.

Seeding and co-efficients for future tournaments was a factor I handn’t thought of. A possible explanation.

Says he was manager of QPR B team.

Didn’t know they’d even played a game but turns out they averaged a game a month last season, couple of wins against non league B sides and that was it.

To quote Paul Hall...'QPR are No 3 in the country for developing footballers...'

Now I know we live in an age of spin and BS, but its hardly surprising MW clashed with our Academy Heads of Production if they actually believed their own spin.

It was a dead rubber and someone whose full-time role is with QPR selected him when we had an important match coming up. Doesn't seem the smartest move.....

Wow imagine what kind of players you'd produce if you were 20th,?
