Just thinking, I really enjoyed that.
I really wouldn't object to all games being on a Friday night.
Whats not to like?

Getting home well after midnight is not great
I do like the theatre of night matches but as we get older the rushing back to St Pancras or driving round the M25 is not much of a chuckle

Said this to my pal. Pubs were packed. Weekend buzz and everyone was up for it. Most people have the next few days off too.

Was enjoyable watching all the other results come in today knowing we had done so well.

Nice enough for a home game if LR is an easy journey. Might not be so popular away given it would entail getting home at 1am half the time. It always seems better when we’re doing well and win the game. A Friday night when we’re sixteenth having just lost three on the bounce would be a ballache played out in front of 12000.

OK for locals but as stated above a lot of us have long journeys. My son would soon get fed up with getting home after 1 am.

Mood depends very much on the result! Friday was great but I wouldn't have enjoyed a longish drive home and getting home late if it had all gone wrong. I do enjoy the increasingly rare buzz of Saturday 3 pm footie, with the possibility of going with grandchildren, who are enjoying being little Superhoop fans!

Saturday at 3pm is much better, These friday night games a ball ache to get to if you don't live locally and no chance of a beer afterwards as need to get the train home. I think the reading game was the first time I've ever seen us win at home on a friday night as well

Just try the M4 from Reading and then say you prefer Friday night games

I agree. Free’s up the rest of the weekend and has a much better atmosphere than Saturday games.

Agreed. When I could get to games I found the atmosphere of the evening games better usually than the 3pm's and certainly the 12pm's. Now I spend half my time around 6000 miles away the evening games come in the middle of the night. Not good for sleep but shutting all the doors and windows so not to wake the neighbours and their dogs, let's me shout, cheer and sweat especially with the QPR shirt on, and still dig the vibes with Mr Sinton and London for company. The afternoon games come late evening when the family still up, get convinced I'm totally bonkers.
