I’ve read about what a great job this guy does in terms of identifying players not only for the current season 😮 but also for future campaigns but it has left me scratching my head that the heads of recruitment at Luton and Millwall, two clubs who are fishing in the same tank as us and yet have built decent, solid teams. The only players since the start of the Warburton era that I’d be happy to keep or have kept was Barbet, Ball, Field and Dykes. So with the likes of Ferdinand, Hoos, Ramsey, Hall, Furlong and Impey, what the heel does this guy do to earn his money?

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview

I like Dom Ball, but I wouldn't place him above Chris Willock.

We dont know whether he has come up with decent players and been knocked back. He may be as frustrated as us that we are missing out. On the other hand he may be failing in his remit .

He would be working to a remit set by the DoF, then all signings will be approved by the DoF if within budget and the player fits the remit set by the DoF.
Players identified, according to the remit, must be mentally weak, lack desire, been released from other Academies and chronic injury issues. If they tick all those boxes, coaches in the Academy/B team approve and within budget the DoF signs it off.

So probably best to look at DoF and coaches, rather than Belk. He has probably put plenty of players forward not signed.

The fact that Luton can get in the play-offs in two consecutive seasons is the red flag that the current regime is not fit for purpose. Eight seasons and we're booting the ball aimlessly in the air on to the heads of Birmingham defenders (when it's not going out of play). Also managed to assimilate a new manager, unlike us who have managed to make each one look clueless. It's a horror show.

You, Sir, have crossed the line.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'
