I'm pretty sure ours was for overspending in the Championship, theirs was for overspending in the Premier League.

It is their second charge too.

If the recent trend of charges and the independent regulator do not trigger significant change then we can safely say that the big 6 run football in this country no matter what anyone else says or thinks. It is disgraceful that some teams are going to HAVE to sell whilst some in the same competition (at least on paper) can afford to pay £100m on single players. Those reliant on sales will realise soon enough that, like the Champ market, the buyers will only be a few clubs leading to a partial collapse.

And the FA and cash league just stand back letting this happen.

...or the irony upon irony will be the small clubs whine to the point where the points deductions metered out are rescinded leading to the two clubs that bought their way to the top table before the rules came in getting off from the charges that they face seemingly slower than everyone else.

It is an utter farce, but will be replaced by something that will stop competition by favouring the same clubs as always.

Can we go out yet?

Leicester have finally submitted their accounts.

£90m loss last season and £215m loss over the previous 3 seasons!!!

If they don't get promoted this season, they're on a sticky wicket next.

That's an eye watering set of accounts really. I quite like Leicester but blimey they could be bang in trouble. If not now it will be hanging over them.

Never knowingly right.

I kind of like Leicester too but they have had some murky stuff in the past.

I'm sure there were things not quite right when they built their new stadium.
Then they went up flaunting the rules (who hasn't?!) then I even heard (and I have nothing to substantiate this!) that in their title winning season they had pharmaceutical 'help' to maintain a high work rate throughout all 90 mins of each game.

But, hey, nothing surprises me these days in football. It's long been far from an even playing field.

It’ll be interesting to see how this is handled.

You would assume they’ll get a 12 point deduction (assuming that’s the maximum, I don’t know). If that is placed this season, they’ll still make the play offs and every chance of still going up and with a clean slate for the Premier.

Alternatively, they get a 12 point deduction next season instead, most likely in the Premier League, which will mean almost certain relegation and the Premier League essentially carrying a lame duck club through an entire season. Not a good look.

FFP is a complete farce.

clubs failure to adhere to it is the bigger problem than the actual rules.
When you look at their income to still manage to lose 80 off million a year is insane

Worst thing that can happen is that Everton and Forest stay up as basically it shows it's probably worth taking the 4/6 point hit as you'll stay up anyway even if you are crap. For clubs like Brentford and Palace you'd be wary of doing that but any mid table side it's worth the gamble
