Does anyone know what's happened to our pitch?? All along the Stan Bowles Stand it looked like it has been under water since the last game. It's in a terrible state. Bit of a worry that we are going into the winter with it like this.
I believe that grow lights are often found in lofts.
Yes indeed, as a friend found to her cost recently. She let her top floor flat out via an agency, only for a roofer doing work for a neighbour to alert her to suspicious activity.
Her tenant had surreptitiously boarded her loft and installed a load of cannabis plants! Somehow, they managed to get the kit up four flights of stairs and set up without the neighbours noticing.
Her letting agent was mortified and very apologetic.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
Well, as it’s Christmas, and to redress the balance a little, I’d just like to say that Our Pitch is a very, very, very fine pitch (with two cats in the yard …etc)*
* with apologies to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (Nash in particular).
Absolute disgrace today not just the Ellerslie side which frankly was just mud, but pretty much the entire thing. Worst I’ve seen it for probably 20 years - What on earth is going on?
The pitch was utter dreadful today. Was like watching a game back in the 80s. My football team’s pitch is better than that. I’m pretty sure it was relaid last year as well. Another game on Sunday and then they’re playing a youth game on it on Saturday! Whatever they’re doing it is shocking. I would not be surprised if the grounds staff are working remotely.
Alarming state today. It basically looks dead, and they’ve put the roller onto mud. They then drown it before both halves, makes it like a skating rink. They reckon they’re going to play an U18 game on that before we play again on Sunday?!
In the last month or so there has been 3 separate day long treatments to the pitch …with GARLIC SPRAY! No, it’s not a wind up and I’ll let someone else google to see if it’s even a ‘thing’, other than warning off Vampires (insert gag here)
But instead of helping in whatever way needed , it appears to be killing it . Like we are spraying it with a weed killer or something .
