For some reason, about three minutes ago I decided to look up the first QPR fixture to happen in my lifetime. I was a mere four days old when QPR played Liverpool at home.

23rd April 1966 was the day I was born and was a Saturday. Arrived at 2.15am. So the first result was that afternoon. Rangers were away at Swindon and lost 2-1. One of the goalscororers was Don Rogers who later played for us. Can remember many of the games stated by other posters, the most memorable being Lids at home a day after my 10th birthday when we were champions for 11 days and the 5-5 against Newcastle. | |
