He's a good championship player. I think those last couple of months in the prem where he got the most assists in the world or whatever made him a bit overrated.
He's never going to become a fans favorite here if he doesn't put the effort in. He's a bit of a tart despite his premiership chiseled body. I think he has a fragile mind.
He could potentially be great for us if he knuckles down. |  |

He seems to have lost his confidence, guile, speed and desire. He seems to have this problem in his character. Even on fire or invisible. Not unlike Fer. Can't beat a man, doesn't show for the ball. Not worth his place in the team at the moment. When you look at Hoilett's work rate and willingness, it shows it up even more. |  |

Fair point. For the record I thought Ramsey maximised his potential I also complained that it's as if he senses himself as being a bit too good for us. Previous post aside in recent weeks he has shown no appetite and his ability to defend is almost woeful. If that makes me a boo boy then there's a lot of us around. | | | |

The first time I saw him was away at Yeovil and I thought he looked weak mentally and he hasn't done much to change that view since. The only time he's looked really up for it was that game at Palace. Sure, like alot of wide players he'll have games where he'll look a fine player but surely we've had too many of those over the years. It's easy to make excuses for players. | | | |

His performance last night was terrible and his form has dipped drastically the last few months.
But I ask this. If he was on fire, if he was taking people on, if he was getting good crosses in, who exactly would be on the end of them?
His style is suited to getting down the line and banging crosses in, wholly unsuited to this side. Don't tell me Seb, his positioning when facing goal is generally not good. As such, his use has come down to free kicks and corners. When they go wrong like last night, I suspect he wonders he might be a lot better off at a side that plays to his strengths.
He is lazy, he is having a bad patch, but put him in the right team and he's a Prem league player. |  | | |

For me he was summed up in the first minute.
There was a tackle to be won in the 'boro penalty area.
As normal, Matt Phillips bottled it & continued to do so the entire evening.
When you have ten players giving their all (they may not be good enough) & one player that is not, that one player needs to be hammered by his team mates for lertting them down.
I think he received many a pelter last night from nearly all of the players & deserved his send off from the crowd.
Playing him in the hope of putting him in the shop window (again) would be to repeat the mistake of when we played Green, Sandro & Fer.
Our mistake was over valuing him last summer. A top of £3 million should have been asked for & would have been got. One year later this figure may have to be reduced. | | | |
