Bradford I think are charging £150 and kids a £1 for next season
that's brilliant and fair play to them

I see poor old Newcastle fans are being charged £42 to sit in the away end at sheff wed
something needs to be done on away tickets in the championship , its a fcuking joke that we were charged over 30 notes for Ipswich

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Bradford and Huddersfield both have modern stadiums that cost less than ours to run and police with thousands more seats than they can sell. They reside in a part of the country that couldn't be more different economically to London. They're not paying London policing costs, London rent on their training ground, London rent on their youth team's training ground. They're not paying for the upkeep of a creaking old stadium. Their teams and wage bills cost a fraction of ours, which is why they've spent almost all their time in this division and the one below while we've had seven Premier League seasons since it was founded.

Fair play to them but not only can they afford to do it, they also can't afford not to because very few people up there could afford £500+ for a Bradford season ticket. If the implied criticism is QPR are expensive compared to Huddersfield and Bradford that's a bit like saying your Mrs has got worse tits than Kelly Brook - of course she has, she's a fcking underwear model.

We may well be expensive compared to Watford, Fulham and Palace, which is a much fairer comparison as they face all the London and old ground issues we do. And if we ever do get to a new ground where we've got more seats than we need, and we still charge these exorbitant amounts, then get stuck in.

The Ipswich fans are not very happy with their lot.Prices are going up by 1 1/2%,and prices for kids under 18 are going up by more to subsidise the 18-25 prices. They are also making the senior prices only apply when you reach 65.
My mate's wife is 64 and used to have a season ticket at reduced prices for the last 4 years and now will have to pay full price for next year.
Expect crowds to go down even more next season.

Ah yes, the club that keep on giving.

To be fair to Ipswich, they will give those that renew a 5% rebate if the club reach their target for sales. However, that target is higher than the number they sold this season!

It would appear that they haven't taken into account the possibility that they could be relegated this season as they make no reference to prices for Division Three. That might be a bit of a challenge for thier marketing & PR people!

Oh, wouldn't it be wonderful? There ain't many pro Evans & McCarthy fans left.

A lot of the fans also think it might be better if they went down too.A really awful team going through the motions and the manager has lost the plot.
Marcus Evans only sees it as a way to cut his tax bill and the fans saw through him long ago.
They have brum and Wigan in their next 2 home games and they should just have enough to avoid the drop, but who knows about next season.

I've said it before, but the impressive thing about McCarthy is that he has worked out how to get results without playing football.

Playing devil's advocate a bit - why should someone 60-64 get a subsidised ticket?

Now that not many young people are in work until early to mid twenties and they're the future with probably the least disposable income, it's quite sensible to do what you can as a club to make it as accessible as possible for under-25s. They're also the ones likely to create an atmosphere.

I don't disagree with you,but it should be for new 60 year olds and not done to the possibly 500 people who are already receiving the discount. It seems wrong to tell someone who was getting it cheaper that they'll have to pay a lot more just to raise a few thousand pounds to give it back to people who might already have jobs.

Yeh if you're going to bring that in, the people who've already been receiving the discount should continue to receive it.

A very difficult question to answer Watford.

I would imagine that the origin was the female retirement being at 60. Very hard for you youngsters to now understand, but we fully expected the male age to be lowered to that (or even lower)! The same question can be asked as to why Senior Rail Cards commence at 60.

I would think that it is a reasonable bet that ipswich will lose more ST holders aged 60-64 than they gain from the 18-25 age group, especially as they have increased prices for the under18's. Could they not have reduced prices for both age ranges? I doubt that would have cost them too much.

So should the over 60 price be subsidised? Perhaps not, but I would argue that it should be called reduced rather than subsidised.

If Rangers were to follow suit I would not suffer as I will be 65 in May. However I would not expect any existing ST holder to renew & if I was a 59 year old looking forward to be rewarded for all my years of support, I would tell them to F*** off.

One of the dearest clubs in Division Two at present (more expensive than us I believe). The prices will go down well in the third division next season!

I am told that the decision is solely down to Evans & that none of the staff were in support. Nor are the fans. Nor are the local media.

Being 2 years away from getting a reduced price on tickets for over 60 years I will be very fed up if the concession was stopped I call it a loyalty bonus for all these years of paying full price !! Additionally I do not buy the old boys do not create atmosphere I have the biggest gob in MU block that's what my bro says who sits next to me...

I don't really care if older people get in for a bit less than I do or not. It just seems to be an age bracket from a time that people tended to retire younger. It's the opposite for the threshold for kids. Most clubs still treat 18-year-olds as adults when it's been a long time since that reflected the employment of most people that age.
