According to some on Twitter the player was still hinting at the deal being done on Snapchat around midnight.
He sounds like a talented prospect but will he really be given the minutes to distinguish himself from LuaLua, Ngbakoto, Shodipo, Petrasso? He's the same age as Smyth but miles ahead in his development and needs to keep playing first team football. Maybe we're buying him to loan him back?

The rules changed last season, once the window shuts no more loans for Football League clubs, that makes it tough if you havnt organised your squad properly and at the moment we're looking very dodgy at centre back even though we've got numbers, hopefully Lynch and Hall will be fit soon because I wouldn't rely on Caulker or Baptiste. | | | |
