Good news.
But I bet they take it to the bloody supreme court.

Bare bones.

Surely, surely, surely now? Even the bottomless pit of money they seem happy to burn on this must be stretched by another appeal to the supreme court?

Went for a walk there yesterday. What a bleeding dump - and not a dog walker for miles.

I believe they long ago lost legal aid, however they have a brief amongst their number, working for nothing.

However at this stage I believe should any further appeal fail, they would be responsible for all court costs, not just their own.

Let them appeal to the Supreme Court and they can all (all six of them) be bankrupted paying us back some of the money it’s cost us.

Strong and stable my arse.

Fingers crossed. I really hope this is it and finally we get some progress . This will be massive for the long term future of the club. I hate to think about the money the club have already flushed down the toilet but this will properly lay down some good foundations and finally get our infrastructure up to speed and on par with a club at our level and ambitions. Looking forward to pics of TF in full PPE with a shovel in hand.

I will be amazed if ground is broken on this. If the work ever starts and is completed then it will represent the first truly positive and long term bit of planning undertaken during Bungles stewardship

These locals WILL appeal. I hear a whisper a well known anti development protester Victor Mishagu (sp) is amongst their number. These people live for such approach

28 days and counting....

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

It's been like that for about 15 years. The council has literally abandoned it. The locals said nothing about the dump until we revealed plans to improve the place.

The argument is that they feel the Council is giving away the land (community asset as they see it) for free.

What they don't appreciate though is that it's a good deal for the community as opposed to selling off that land to for housing and commercial which would absolutely ruin any dog walkers day and see the land 100% privately owned with no benefit to anyone except the potential buyers.

He came up in conversation in the pub last night and I was unaware of this latest step at the time.

My mate does loads of Planning Apps in the Ealing area and old Victor is well known.
He's developing quite a rep and a lot of campaigners well outside the Borough seek him out for help now. I don't know if this is now a living for him rather than a passion.

I completely agree developers need to be kept in check - even though the industry has given me a living for 30 years I'm all for development being kept in line with the local confines and being realistic. You have to step back and take a pragmatic view on these things.
If I lived right next door to WF I'd be very happy with the plans as it would mean I was safe from a huge housing development or a TESCO transfer site being built there.
I'd be up in arms if 2,500 units were being built there myself as it's out of balnce in the area as the roads, public services etc couldn't cope and it would destroy all green space.

I still don't think Bungle has got the minerals to take this all the way to Completion though!

Why not just sit back and see what happens.

If at first you dont succeed, pack up and f**k off home.

So you're saying having taken it so far if there is a final appeal the board will not fight it

https://www.ealing.gov.uk/news/article/1751/statement_-_warren_farm

Ealing Council has been informed that a judicial review in relation to Warren Farm sports ground has been unsuccessful.
The Court of Appeal rejected the application for review of the council’s planning decision made by Hanwell Community Forum and confirmed that the council acted appropriately in granting Queen’s Park Rangers Football Club (QPR ) planning permission.

QPR is investing millions of pounds into community facilities and a comprehensive community sports programme, which will significantly improve local people’s access to sport.

The council looks forward to seeing this project get off the ground so that people can start using it as quickly as possible.

Councillor Julian Bell, leader of the council, said: “I am delighted with the judicial review decision and, with QPR set to invest millions of pounds into the community sports facilities, I’m confident we’ve secured the best deal for local people.

“Once the site is up-and-running, QPR will implement a significant community sports development programme which focuses on encouraging local people, particularly young women, older people and people with disabilities, to get involved in sport. The club will also be responsible for on-going maintenance of the new facilities, with no cost to taxpayers or the council."

QPR CEO Lee Hoos said: “A new training ground has always been at the forefront of our strategic planning for the Club. This decision is fantastic news and a massive step forward that finally gives us the pathway we need to see this priority through. The objectors have 28 days in which to file an appeal to the Supreme Court. The expiry of this will represent the final legal hurdle, which is significant news. We would like to place on record our gratitude to Ealing Council for their perseverance in this matter.”
