He was the manager who was in situ when they signed, but his list of signings were scuppered by Ecclestone refusing to sell the club to the Mittals during that summer. On his wish list was the likes of Ashley Williams, Wayne Routledge and Danny Graham. Gorkks had to be sold to fund the signing of DJ Campbell, and subsequently it all became a bit of a last minute rush to get anyone in of any kind of ability. Think the only other signing prior to this was the Brazilian centre half who made a solitary appearance away at Wigan. Warnock was pretty much stitched up by the likes of SWP.

Nope he means Reading, there's an article in Berkshire live winging about the fact that Warnock hates us, he still loves our club, I think his speech at half time for the Cardiff game can leave you in no doubt, he spoke of his love for the club and also Cardiff as well as they were the opposition.

It's a real shame Fernandes didn't take over the club at the start of September, rather than the end of August.

But still, they were his signings? Regardless of restrictions as no one actually knows the truth. Just elements of things they have heard.
He may have been limited on time, but his stock was extremely high after just winning promotion, he could have turned them down or proposed other players? He still signed Barton and co...

It's all conjecture you believe what fits your current thinking, there's no doubt Warnock gave a very emotional speech at the Cardiff game, declaring his love for our club, he's a genuine man and wouldn't say things just to impress the audience.

I think Warnock has always spoken highly of Tony F over the years, not sure about Les though.
Warnock was ecstatic at the time with all those signings so I'd say he has to go in at least 50/50 on the likes of SWP, Anton F, Luke Young etc
I remember an article/interview about him saying he was half joking with Tony saying he wanted Joey Barton thinking there was no chance and then Tony surprising him by saying why not or at least something like that.
