Ankle bracelet. I know we let unsupervised offenders out all the time but this was such a heinous crime that you need to repent and redeem as a closely monitored old lag. [Post edited 11 Nov 19:10]

| Kolli on 17:08 - Nov 11 by Esox_Lucius | I feel he has acted professionally and got on with what is needed to get into the team. This whole episode smacks of someone kicking their pet because their partner had a row with them. So much for a clear path for youth players. |
I totally agree . I’ve been banging on and on, on here for a couple of years about the agenda against Kolli from within . I know all about the Williams /Kolli training ground situation and believe me it’s ugly from a staff / club/ young players pathway situation . It’s against everything the club tries to claim they stand for frankly . But, and I know this is rich coming from an idiot like me ,as much as I personally think he has been mature and bold in the way he has conducted himself of late , sometimes it’s best to say nothing and let the perpetrators trip over their own shoelaces . I just think this will annoy and antagonise those that for some reason have taken a dislike to him . And they will double down on not giving him game time . Hope I’m wrong . He’s not the only player of late that I seem to think should be looking for a fresh start away from the nonsense that is QPR at times . | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I'd have assumed that the club would have approved of that social media post, perhaps with the hint that it would get him minutes. [Post edited 11 Nov 21:20]

It's not uncommon in post-secondary education, here in N. America at least. Parents with off-spring of similar age to Kolli, or older, show up to complain about his marks because "honestly, he's really a nice boy." I retired from teaching seven years ago, and apparently parachute parents have become much more prevalent recently.

The less they play (for us), the more we seemingly have to say (about them). Not sure what that says about us but it continues. Kolli, Eze, Kelman….the list goes on. Nardi, Field and other MIAs play their own supporting roles in the chat, but because they are less vocal on socials and their ‘rents don’t chip in - so far. Does it say more about them or maybe something about the players who play regularly for us ? We get the rare threads of praise (close relative of ‘Songs of…’) but they don’t reach double digit, Gold status very often.

| Kolli on 10:18 - Nov 12 with 2505 views | francisbowles | We've got an international break with several of first team squad on duty. Kone's Ivory Coast play Tuesday, so he will get back Wednesday afternoon, at the earliest. Burrell's Jamaica play Wednesday (why?), so he will get back Thursday late afternoon, again. Meanwhile Kolli (and Frey) have a relatively easy time, training and resting. We go into another killer three game week with long trips on the Wednesday and Saturday. We are going to need striker options, of the bench as a minimum. I expect to see Kolli involved. Otherwise rumours of a vendetta against him will be severely enhanced. | | | |

I guess the link there is that the parents are sometimes paying for this education, so maybe feel some ownership in it, with a vested interest in their child's success. I'm not sure Rayan's dad sticking up pictures of the Nice badge or saying they want out of the club is helping in any way

I mean what can he say really - ‘the CEO and his best mate the DOF don’t want me to play the kid and they’ve ruled him out until January when they can try and get rid of him’. The honesty of course would be great, but not exactly conducive to a good relationship with his bosses.

Indeed, Barry. In fact, I am fast approaching the stage that I no longer consider him a QPR player because he never seems to play for QPR!

Having actually read the article rather than just get upset by the headline, I read between the lines here that "...he needs to train and needs the consistency" means they are saying he's shirking. Interesting that this came out straight after a win when the weather vane of favour is pointing in the club's direction. Also interesting they've felt compelled to say it twice in the same week but nothing for the last four months. He'll be in France in January I reckon and this is the groundwork being laid. Just hard to know where the fault lies though isn't it? It should be noted that he's managed to play for Algeria twice though so maybe his injury is aggravated by geography. [Post edited 8 Dec 12:11]

I thought he'd played some DS games as well. It would be such a shame to not see him get a run in this team. Only thing I can think of is that he's doing Adel things with regards to training, but without a Warnock type safety net
| Kolli on 12:50 - Dec 8 with 646 views | numptydumpty | This Kolli situation doesnt add up. He seems on the face of it, a decent lad, who.wants to play. He has always shown in brief appearances, elements of his potential and class and aptitude. Yet, apparently he is injured regularly or not selected and Frey is always seen as the better option, when we all know he isnt. I dont buy the injuries excuse and its hard to understand others seen as consistently more worthy of game time. I cant make out whether the player is at fault, whether its his family and those around him that are adding to a rhetoric, or whether its indivuals who work for the club that have it in for him This has not been boxed in a category a la Taylor Richards, so second guessing why is frustrating, because realistically this needs to have better outcomes, because the boy has talent and could help the squad a great deal, especially when injuries inevitably raise their ugly heads !! | |

Your reading between the lines is way off there Baz. He’s not training or getting the consistency because he’s injured. Thats a dreadful defamatory word you used there.
