aka The Shadow in my Eye. Excellent World War II fact-based Danish movie about the RAF raid on the Gestapo HQ in Copenhagen. It was known as 'Operation Carthage'. I've been meaning to watch it for ages and finally managed to last night. Terrific movie from start to finish. As you know, I do love a good war movie & this one is up there. Great viewing for a rainy day/weekend.
No doubt the vote to keep Boris will dominate the news today - but today has far more significance for many of us involved in all things World War II. Lest we forget...
Thank fook it's the last game of the season. I think Che Adams must have punched Ralph over at Staplewood or something. Poor old Adam Armstrong as a lone striker. Roll on Summer...

Subs: Willy Caballero, Yan Valery, Jan Bednarek, Ibrahima Diallo, Will Smallbone, Moussa Djenepo, Che Adams, Theo Walcott, Shane Long.
I have no idea how the vile little cheating coont is allowed to get away with what he does. He falls over whenever a fly lands on him just to waste time... but worse still, he goes down in the box when there is no foul/contact - and the truly hopeless ref falls for it once again by giving a penalty.
I know Elijah will sing the poor referee's praises, it's a difficult job, they're not bent, blah blah blah - but referees in charge of Everton's games need a head's up on Richarlison's antics, and Richarlison himself should get banned from English football for blatant, continuous cheating.
I grew up watching and loving The Sweeney. Minder wasn't bad - but I'll always remember him for his part alongside John Thaw as part of the flying squad. It was a good, gritty drama back in the day.
the pilots of those two Ukrainian choppers that attacked an oil depot in Belgorod on Russian soil overnight are nothing short of heroes. Absolute balls of steel. To fly that low - at night - and avoid trees, telegraph poles, etc & Russian defences is pretty remarkable. I don't think they'll be short of people buying them a beer when they got back to base! Stunning...

just watched Mali get knocked out of the ACON to Equatorial Guinea on penalties. Moussa came on as a sub on 70 mins but didn't do anything much. He put away his penalty nicely though.
playing Friday night this week means a weekend free for Saints. If you haven't seen it yet, I can thoroughly recommend getting in some munchies & watching The Forgotten Battle. It's on Netflix and other streaming sites. I thought it was terrific...
Now obviously I'm not someone who normally condone's violence of course... but I'm definitely in the camp of drag the crusties off the motorway and give them each a good slap.
