Southampton V Crystal Palace The Verdict
at 10:10:51

Indeed, get an experienced manager in for the last 7 games who will have what it takes to at least put up a fight until the last minute of the last game. But equally as important, he'll kick this lazy bunch of plodders up the a*se and get them out of 'comfort mode' that they've been in for far too long now. Selles is more like a mate to them - not a manager. .

Southampton V Brighton The Verdict
at 16:42:32

Our midfield is the most piss-poor in the Premier League. It's unproductive, ponderous and lacking any creativity.

We will pay dearly for that... as we will for not having a proper goal scorer.

Southampton Sack Ralph Hasenhuttl
at 16:00:19

Managers will always come & go, but the fans are here forever. Thanks for your time here Ralph. Yes we did get embarrassingly hammered a few times over the years alright! But we should also remember the cracking games too... not least the Pompey cup stuffing on their own patch & some terrific away days (and wins) in the Premier League. I certainly enjoyed some of the pressing/counter-attacking quick football that we played under Ralph.

Good luck to whoever takes over. One thing for sure being a Saints fan ; it is, and always will be, a rollercoaster ride.

Southampton Legend David Armstrong Mourned By Saints Fans.
at 11:35:22

RIP. Saw him play many, many times over the years for Saints. Even met him a few times - including when the whole team paid a visit to my ship HMS Southampton when she was being built at Vospers woolston. Lovely bloke who always had time for a quick chat. Thanks for the memories Dave - especially THAT cross into the box for Stevie Moran, Fratton Park, 1984.

Condolences to his family.

Saints Fans Will Miss Richarlison's Debut For Spurs

Dirty little cheating bastid. Glad he's missing. Now it'll be left to Son to do the diving on the opening day. I'm putting a £20 quid bet on the first penalty of the new PL season going to Spurs.

Lemina Set To Miss Burnley Game
at 10:13:02

The cynic in me says Saints are being crafty by saving Lemina for Anfield and putting a highly prized, very classy midfielder in the shop window. And are we REALLY going to play Virgil at Anfield? It will be interesting to see his mindset if we do.

Saints V Brighton The Verdict
at 11:01:17

I'm trying really hard... but I can see no improvement whatsoever in our style of play this season and under Puel last season. We are very dull at times and carry no threat up front at all. Sure, we don't concede many goals - something MP was known for before he was appointed - but at the other end of the pitch - we are woefully inept. Even the likes of Lukaku and Kane in a Saints shirt would struggle to score in our current set-up!

The answer is for MP to change the system. Whatever he's trying to do isn't working. We do have some very good players at the club that aren't being utilised to their full potential. MP has sorted the defence and made us pretty solid at the back (bar the keeper who's confidence is shot away) - and the likes of Lemina and Romeu are top quality defensive midfielders...but we are crying out for at least 2 hard working and creative attacking central midfielders to supply the striker/s.

Saints Tracking Barcelona Starlet !
at 14:33:29

Hope the stories linking him with us are true. He's a terrific young prospect - exactly the sort we tend to target. Prior to moving to Barca he was superb and scored goals for fun. As someone mentioned above - he was always going to find it difficult at Barca with the array of talent ahead of him there. Sounds like he's lost his way just a tad and a move to Saints could well rekindle his form of old. Would love this signing to happen.

Liverpool Legend Now Encouraging Van Dijk To Go On Strike !

There's only Kenny Dalglish, Ricky Tomlinson and John Bishop left before we get a full house of scousers encouraging van Dijk to demand a move from the Solent to the Mersey. Let me guess; tomorrow's Press will carry a 'Come to Anfield' quote from Ken fooking Dodd...

Are Liverpool At It Again?
at 13:55:31

Liverpool are determined to get their man - at any cost - and will try every dirty, underhand trick in the book in order to obtain the services of Virgil van Dijk. The likes of Gerrard, Jamie Redknapp, and that bloated scouse horse-abusing gobsh1te Mick Quinn are all still urging van Dijk to throw his toys out of the pram and demand a move to Merseyside saying it's up to van Dijk to make the next move. The national Press never has a day go by without some ex-Liverpool tit urging him to kick up a fuss and demand a move North.

Hopefully, by now, Saints have told Vigil that he won't be sold this summer and perhaps they'll think about it next year. He's got 5-years left on his (recently-signed) contract, and many feel he owes us another year having missed half the season with injury with regards to which Saints have treated him extremely well all through his rehabilitation.

I really hope that Saints turn down that class-less Merseyside shower of shíte... even if they were to offer the full £75million.

Saints Reportably Sounding Out Portugese Managerial Pair
at 13:51:31

Adkins never rotated the team to the daft levels Puel has - and look where it got us. Pochettino likewise. Koeman also. The needless and unnecessary rotation has cost us a heavy price this season in terms of advancement in the Europa League and perhaps a place or two higher as regards our league position.

Sure, I understand the bad luck we've had with injuries which hasn't helped - especially to the best CB in the Premier League - and a ball's-up on the transfer front regarding a replacement for Virgil as well as getting caught short on the striker front until Gabbiadini arrived - but without doubt, excessive squad rotation has been our main undoing. And for that - the buck stops at Claude Puel's desk.
