The Frankie Friday Music Thread.....RIP 07:01 - Apr 4 with 2040749 viewsLblock

Here I am starting this from my recovery bed and no clue how to link tunes on an iPhone!

Will stick on my offerings from a PC later unless the other knuckles thread is the preference to use?

House classics and dancey dazzlers only, no hijacking from suicide rock please!

In the beginning there was jack.......

Been meaning to update for years.
Can only be one.......

Definitely deserved the dust wiped off that W13R

So now I'm after help.

Does anyone know the tune that was doing the rounds in 1989 which was basically just a load of samples over a 303 (werent they all?) with the constant shout of "It's Mental!, It's Mental!"
If so let me know as I can't remember it for the life of me and want to see if it's on YouTube for a listen up

I know the track you mean but can't think of the name. Was the shouting 'mental, mental, let's go effing mental'?

That's the kiddy - it was massive in Tenner-grief that year ('89)

Got it in my head but really need to hear it again in the flesh to see if the mists of time have given me a false memory

(And maybe his predecessor)

On it and wearing a scotch bonnet today

l block, see that Capricorn 20 hz track, used to mangle this Naline and Kane mix of it to the kuiper belt and back..the military drums at .....4mins onwards...fack me...

Their remixes in the late 90's early 2000's were biblical.

I know what you mean -- that track and this one below will always remind me of a few of our "lost weekends" in Amsterdam back in da day

I still maintain that Mazzo's was one of the best clubs I've ever been to in my drab an dreary life.
Sheer debauchery

Only 1.15pm and the weekend party bus is reving the engine

Second time I've put this up. Makes me all wistful and ache to get back to dancing all night next to a sewage farm in Essex... ahhhh Jenkins Lane.

Had to work on Friday so just catching up on

Nice one LBlock that Ben Watt tune was fkin quality. Plus Hablando. Also Otchy Koochi, i love that tune proper acid. I was at 414 for Cohesion last night and a DJ called Libra 9 played a naugtee even more acid psy trance mix of Joss Wink Higher state of conciousness was bouncing like a loon and am on a 303 tip today.

But to my ears you surpassed yourself with that Nicky Dungeon mix

Lets go back indeed....

Mental Mental lets go Fcking mental !!!!!

You cant beat coming upon a beaut mate!

Right I'm out of the blocks early and signing off early - medical appointment tomorrow so doubt I'll be contributing much here I'm afraid.

Have some of this before I go and try to sleep... In the style of the great man himself

great sample at the start.

Elizabeth Taylor: "Where are you bound for, captain?"
Laurence Harvey: "Bound for ecstasy."
Taylor: "I've heard a lot about ecstasy."
Harvey: "It's everything they say... and more."

Good morning my learned friends.
Another Friday in paradise (well just south of Croydon ;) ) Recovering from a detached retina operation. Well they did warn me it would make me blind!

I think you will very much appreciate this. Old school breakbeat.

Right I'm back and still alive... Unfortunately they gave me a quick 4mg shot of the good stuff so i was straight out instead of the usual 1.5mg which has you hanging around with that warm fuzzy feeling. More fool me or making a joke of it with the quack!!!

Croydon - hope that recovery goes well fella, it's certainly not effected those ears of yours mate!

A rewind from me... do love this.
